  Surrounded by eucaliptus trees

  We were hosted during the first week of July. Perfect place for those who search for quite and calm far away from noisy touristic places. Hidden in hills perfumed with wild eucalyptus you enjoy the sea view from your private garden. The apartment is spacious and newly equipped. Kitchen with very basic equipment, so maybe not enough for those who are planning to cook. Breakfast available in the hotel, 8 EUR. The Tanca personnel is so great that you wouldn't believe and want to leave. They would not let you alone if you need any help. We were welcomed with the sardinian plate upon arrival and were invited for the typical sardinian food for the farewell. During all our stay Paula at the reception was more than helpful and I am very very grateful for her sardinian charm and support. From the Tanca you can easily go for one day trip exploring fantastic beaches with unbelievable sea hue. You can also rent a private boat to enjoy the wild south coast.

  A good homebase for beachcombers and highlanders

  Hotel Tanca is situation quite secluded in a valley south of Bari Sardo on the East Coast of Sardinia, about 1.5 km from the sea. The area is not yet fully touristically developed and quite rural. Within a driving distance there are spectacular beaches, very good restaurants and also mountains, with the villages spectacularly sticking high up on them. You need a car and to be well informed to find the nice places. The hotel has mainly apartments with kitchenettes, one very large room that may be split into two with a sliding door. The apartments are built on terrasses so you don't feel much from your neighbors even if outside on your on sitting place or terrasse. The interior is quite simple and has a very simple, straight but nice design. There is a small pool with reclining chairs and sunshades. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel Tanca is a really nice place, but only go there is you can live with some small shortcomings - the interior is ok, but of relatively low quality, some equipment would need repair and the access road is in bad shape (if you drive a large car you need to be an artist....).
