    Wonderful location!

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. The room was nice and spacious. We had a beautiful ocean view! Dinner was amazing. Fresh sashimi and lots of other delicious dishes. The onsen bath was lovely. Perfect way to end our day of exploring! Breakfast the next morning was also pretty spectacular. A traditional Japanese breakfast. Took advantage of the onsen one more time before checking out. The hotel is also in a convenient location. Within walking distance of the castle ruins and the old town area. Plenty of parking for those who want to or are able to drive. I would definitely stay here again! No wi-fi in the rooms, but it is available in the lobby. Not a big deal for us since we were too exhausted to get on the internet anyway.

Great location for relaxing or exploring

Stayed for 3 nights on the top floor with an ocean view room. As you see from the photos the location is right on the beach with very pleasant views to the old castle ruins. For those wanting to get out and about, it is about a 7 minute walk to the interesting Hagi Museum and the old samurai district. Towards the shopping area and port is a pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk. The area is pretty flat so easy walking. For those driving there are dozens of car spots so parking should not be an issue. Stayed in a Japanese style room with tatami. Vary spacious and a nice view. There is also an ample balcony for a hotel room, but unfortunately nothing to sit on except concrete. From the room you still get a great view though. The onsen area is quite modern with a variety of different bath options (including sauna and jaccuzi)and great views if you choose to take advantage. Didn't have the dinner there, but the breakfast was wonderful (Japanese style). Done in the dining area but breakfast served at the table. A good variety of the seasonal local produce was used and variety each day. The dining room offers views of the scenery as well. This is a great choice accommodation for those wither wanting to relax and take advantage of the onsen and dining or who want to wander around Hagi and take in its attractions.

Huge traditional rooms with great views of the ocean

The rooms are enormous by Japanese standards and the view is gorgeous. Make sure you spring for the ocean side. Worth it. The spa seemed fancy, but my Japanese is non-existent so I found it intimidating. This is my fault, not theirs. Along the same lines, the elaborate dinner was wasted on me because I am extremely picky and could not identify half of the set course menu. Again, that's on me. I bet more adventurous folks would absolutely love it. One item to note, they will put your futon out for you at night so don't worry if you don't see your bed when you walk in!

Right on the beach and near the castle

Decent value for a large, spacious room with lanai overlooking the beach and ocean. Perfect for evening walks or a morning jog. Onsen bath is also spacious and relaxing and there is a proper hot sauna room, too. Japanese breakfast is voluminous and the people of Hagi and the staff are friendly countryside folks. Best if you have a car, but if not, just a short taxi ride from the station.
