Nice hotel, cool atmosphereWe stayed several days at this hotel. The situation of the hotel is beautiful with great views all around, to the other hills and down to the lake. Marvellous. We liked the hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful, but it looks nicer in the brochure that in real life. The lobby is rather cramped and not very comfortable, have your drinks in the library. The breakfast buffet is good (food) but not very cosy (atmosphere). The staff is exceptionally friendly, though. The pool and spa area is very spacious, very clean and pleasant, we spent lots of time here. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable. Nothing to complain. The garden is very, very spacious and you can go on a extended hike without even leaving the hotel area. If you do leave there are plenty of great hiking paths through the forests with stunning views.

Wonderful Hideaway in TicinoWe had to cancel our holiday in France and found this enchanting Hotel instead. Lucky us! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the cuisine was fantastic and our room spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was even served outside with a great variety of regional high quality products. We enjoyed hikes in the beautiful nature with golden leafs in the October sun, magnificent lake views and snowcapped mountains on the horizon. The outdoor pool was still open - pretty cool, but wonderful with its view on the sunset over the lake. For those interested in culture: The Museo Hermann Hesse is in walking distance as is the Mont San Salvatore overlooking Lugano. Both are worth visiting. We hope to return in spring when the park around the Hotel will be in full bloom. A heartfelt thanks to all who made our stay memorable!

Stunning location, wellness below averageThe hotel is very nice and clean and the outdoor area with a lovely terrace and an outdoor pool offers stunning views. The service is good and everybody is very friendly. We had a suite with a great balcony overlooking the forest and little vineyards, very pittoresque. On the downside, the food was not special and therefore overprized, especially the sandwhiches and snacks were low quality - average food sold at premium prizes. Unfortunaltey, the wellness area was quite disappointed, too. If a hotel markets itself as a high quality wellness and spa resort, I do expect more than a little room with one sauna and steam room with no relaxation area whatsoever. The indoor pool was quite small as well, I can imagine what it is like when the hotel is fully booked, thankfully that was not the case when we stayed there. The concept of wellness & spa is a different one, there is lots of room for improvement on that score. To sum it up, I would recommend the hotel if you want to primarily enjoy the location, go walking or hiking and exploring the area. There are lovely walks everywhere. But if you look for good value for money in terms of wellness&spa and food, there are bound to be better places at that prize level.

It was good, but it couldve been better !5th Floor has nearly no internet at all. For someone who works with the internet and is having a long stay in this hotel this could be a great matter. The mattress in room 511 needed to be changed which after my complain was right away done (what I found very very great problem solving! Thanks again.) I would come back again but for sure lower floor, so the internet connection is there and is better. Great staff, there was a waiter (tall guy) which was very friendly and good. Well done.
