No ENTERTAINMENTWe arrived 17/07/19 Beautiful location, although lots of steps. Very clean, good food, drinks in the hotel very expensive. Disappointed there Absolutely no evening entertainment, despite reviews stating evening entertainment until at least 20/09/19. Even pool bar closed for season. Luckily good bars very close. Bring a good book !

Great resort, great food, don't mind the stairsVisited as part of a bus group for 7 nights. It is a great resort, the restaurant is huge and the food overwhelming in quantity. Overall it tastes great as well. When you book, please be careful where you are. Some apartments are high up and you need to climb a lot of stairs. Especially after the great meals it is a burden. The apartment is well equipped and clean. We had one for 5 people with a shower and a bath. Nice see view and an outside balkon. The staff is friendly and helpful and speaks overall good German and some English. Our only problem e had was with the cleaning and servicing of the apartment. Virtually they came everyday but almost nothing was cleaned. In the whole week, the bed wasn't changed and last couple of days we had to beg (yes literally) for toilet paper. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay.

good and bed pointsThis resort is in good little town of Vrsar, with lovely views. Food is ok too. My bed points are: Beach- very small and hotel guests would need to pay for loungers too, it is so so busy and lovely view is obstracted by ugly rubber play equipmnet on the water. Restaurant - there is outside area, but it does not include half board guests, so if you pay half board you must dine inside of the different resaurant, would be fine, but if sit under air con, freezing, if not, sweating buckets Overall very friendly staff, good location, good food, good rooms

PerfectWhat can I say about this holiday and hotel? Well, it turned out to be our favourite family holiday so far. We arrived at the resort about 2 hours before our room was ready but we were able to put our cases in the luggage room and went to explore the area, stopping off at a cafe for lunch followed by an ice cream. Once our room was ready, we followed the directions and trekked to our room. I say trek because the rooms are set into a hillside and ours was at the top. With two cases, it was a bit of an effort. It was only later we discover the escalators. Yes, there are outdoor escalators to help you work your way up! I actually liked the extra bit of leg work we had as it gave us a chance to burn off some calories from the delicious food wed consumed. More about that later. Our room was a 2 bedroom apartment which was a pleasant surprise as only booked a one bedroom apartment. The living room had a big flat screen tv, sofa bed, dining table & chairs and everything you would need to cook if that was your plan. Only thing missing was a toaster I suppose. We just toasted our bread in a pan. The bedrooms were amazing. Spacious, plenty of storage for clothes, bedside tables and vanity stations in each room with a stool. It was so easy to get ready and nice having that personal space. Bathroom was equipped with everything, shower gel on a dispenser and a removable shower head, I hate the ones you cant pull down. We had a huge double balcony, dining table abs chairs on one side and recliners with a small table on the other side. The balcony was accessible from one of the bedrooms and the living room. If you didnt want your room cleaned or not to be disturbed, there is a control pad in the dining room and this can be read from a little screen outside the front door by the cleaning staff. WiFi is superb throughout the complex from poolside to apartment, I watched films, made calls via FaceTime without issue. The pool is open from 8am-8pm and you can put your towels down from 8am. My husband and did this and used to go for morning walks by the harbour while it was still quiet. Bliss! Food in the area was reasonable, £35-£50 for 2 adults and two teens with drinks. Superb restaurants we visited twice or more for evening meals were Fast Food Prince (nicer than your standard fast food, the fries were delicious) and Laguna. For breakfast, we had cereal, toast and fresh fruit on our balcony at our own pace and leisure. No rush down to a canteen right queue and over-indulge. Lunch was mostly bought from the local bakers, Mlinar (like Greggs only so much nicer). Wed buy wraps and pastries and get drinks, crisps & yogurts from the supermarket next door. Wed take these back to our pool loungers and eat. In the afternoon wed have an ice cream and then choose a nice place to eat in the evenings as mentioned before. We took a trip on Excursion Mikela to Lim Fjord for a swim then back on the boat for lunch, it was delicious, to carry on to Rovinj for a 2 hour stop off to explore. Along the way, the seagulls follow you during lunch which is quite exciting and you pass plenty of nudist beaches although youre far away enough not to blush too much. It was a lovely experience. We visited St Martins Church and Bell Tower. It looks far away but it is literally a 20 minute walk. Its uphill but take your time and take water. There are lovely cafes along the way and there is a small charge to go to the top of the bell tower but worth it for the views. The church was also open which is beautiful. While youre up there, go to Viewpoint Casanova. A place where Casanova visited. Entertainment at the hotel wasnt one every night but it wasnt needed. It was live musicians or DJs. We found Caffe Bar Nieves which has delicious cocktails, live music and football matches at the back of the bar. The harbour is magical seeing all the fancy and some not so fancy boats. We went Go Karting one night and there is a little market with trampolines etc for younger kids. The beach is small but there is a boardwalk alongside the waters edge where you can hire 2 beds and a parasol for 100kunas (about £20). We did this one afternoon but preferred our poolside loungers. They do aqua aerobics daily around 12.30. We just loved this place, it was both magical and beautiful. My only criticism is the room smelt a little damp initially but it either went or we got used to it. Either way, it wasnt a major issue and we would return to this place in a heartbeat. We love Vsar & Resort Belvedere. Thank you for a most memorable and hospitable holiday!
