  Great location

  Cannobio is perfectly situated. The town is very close, and is lively but relaxing and family friendly on an evening. 20 minutes to Acscona and 30 to Locarno. The hotel itself has a very nice exterior, though the rooms are average to good and quite spacious. The pool is reasonable, but the other leisure facilities are very limited and dated.

  Needs some attention

  The hotel is situated in a great building, so not a standard hotel. The room we got was actually a small apartment but with the bed in the kitchen and dining area. One could have cooked his own meals. There was some deferred maintenance for the room: shower sink did drain very badly, the bed side lamp needed a new bulb and the power outlet in the kitchenette was not fixed very well to the wall. The airco should be broken according to a sign but it did work, so that was an unexpected plus. But the swimming pool was great as is the hotel area itself. Like living in a compounded community. The breakfast was OK and the staff in the restaurant also.

  Not that good, actually.

  A friend and me booked the hotel in Cannobio for 3 nights and 4 days. The receptionist was very friendly and explained us everything. The discription of the hotel says that they have a sauna and a steam bath, which was "closed"(?), so she told us. The room is quite big for a double room and very clean as much as we checked. The bed is comfortable but had barely warm blankets, so it was very cold the first night. We used the pool, which was also fine. After that, we asked the receptionist if we can order some drinks in the restaurant and eat later, since it wasn't 19:00 o'clock and she told us before that the dinner is ready at that time. She said it's no problem, she will call her coworker in the restaurant, so that she knows that we're coming. Still, we waited 20 minutes until someone from the kitchen asked us what we actually want, we replied that we want to eat and drink something, she gave us the menu, and disappeared again. So we left and ate in another restaurant. So long story short: Bad organisation, good room, nice pool. The staff could be way more attentive. That's all. We will check for another hotel next time.

  Good

  Booked a double but got an apartment. Clean, nice style, good balcony. Dog charge only 10 per night. Underground parking. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Did not use any of the amenities. Restaurant was only open for half board guests in the evening. Would stay again.

  Pretty and homey <3

  Rooms are like an apartment with kitchen. Hotel is near the city and the beach. Wonderful and pretty building <3 lov it! The staff is really humble, attentive and courteous <3 Only unfortunate thing is that our iPhones could not connect to the wifi but all the other brand phones were able to do so. I experienced this with many other places in the world and its definitely an iPhone thing when the wifi is overloaded the iPhone connectivity sucks
