Gorgeous views! We traveled to Tuscany with 19 people and rented this villa in its entirety. The location is wonderful and the views are breathtaking. Unfortunately, there are many many flaws. The beds and pillows are horribly uncomfortable and the rooms inside the main house on the first floor are loud. The noise comes from the people working the desk and the staff setting up the pathetic breakfast early in the morning. Communication between the management company and the villa staff was awful - details that we had discussed and settled prior to arrival were not followed through. For example, they tried to charge us $2.50 towel fees for each pool towel we used when we paid thousands and thousands of dollars to rent out the home. We each used the same towel for the entire week! In addition, we ordered meals from a local farm affiliated with the villa and the pricing was obscene, the food was late and not plentiful. They charged us over $125 Euros for a 9x13 pan of tiramisu for goodness sake! Overall, our family had an amazing trip to Italy but would never again rent this villa. There has to be places with more gracious service and more comfortable rooms.

Depends What you are looking forWe recently spent 1 week here. We were a family of 24 and rented the entire Villa. A few details- First- our initial contact person was Piero. Once booked, we were told to deal with Graziella exclusively, which was difficult, because she was not on property to address our needs. The main 2 individuals on property, Kamal and Dona, were wonderful, but restricted in how they could assist us. The rooms were nice- not amazing, but nice and very clean. The entire property was very clean. The pool was also very nice and relaxing. The food: FYI- food was prepared off property and brought in. Our welcome dinner was simple and underwhelming. The breakfasts were continental. Beware- they encourage you to "order" food from them. The food is terrible. It comes in take out tins and there is absolutely no presentation whatsoever. It is completely unappetizing and not good. They provided a pizza party, wherein they proceeded to provide a ridiculous amount of food that was absolutely terrible. DO NOT GET PIZZA from the Villa. Tuscany is known for its amazing pizza. This Villa will NOT provide it. They charged us $900 Euro for 15 pizzas. They were TERRIBLE!! The walk to town is pleasant- very hilly and it takes between 10-15 minutes. There is not much in town, except a Church, 2 decent restaurants, a nice coffee shop, laundry mat, and a nice grocery store, which you will need. Other reviewers pointed out the issue with the pool towel rental. We objected to the rental and they did waive it. We also were without water on 2 occasions. There was a water main leak/break and for 2 mornings, while we were trying to get ready for our day trips, we were unable to shower or use bathroom facilities. This was extremely inconvenient. They did waive the charges for the water bottles, thankfully, as we were told not to drink the water when it turned back on. Because this is essentially a Bed and Breakfast in the middle of nowhere, it is a bit inconvenient. There is limited food on property. It is mainly breakfast items. There is no full kitchen. Some of the rooms have kitchenettes with larger fridges. However, I, personally, did not have one of those rooms. If you are spending several days here, you will need a plan as to the remainder of your meals- lunch, dinner, snacks, because there is just nothing available. If you walk to town, you are then walking back with large amounts of groceries. The location is rather remote, so it is not like there are cabs readily available. You always have to make arrangements in advance. On the plus side, the view is amazing and it is a very relaxing place to stay. It is very peaceful and quiet. It is about 30-40 minutes to Florence.

An unexpected paradiseThe best place where to enjoy the quiet, the sun, the beauty of the hills...and much more! We spent more than one month in the Limonaia, a magic place. We greatly appreciated the time there, welcomed by Massimo and the whole staff, very nice and impeccable. A special thanks to Cristina, always perfect , always there, we felt like home.. Grazie a tutti per questa splendida estate ! Francesca T.
