  Back again

  Our third trip here. This funky place is emblematic of funky procida. Great garden and rooftop terrace for relaxation. Off the beaten path and the price is right. It's hard to find old traditional Italy like this today.

  Very Nice gardens-rooms have very old furniture, so not very comfortable-kind people. Great place to relax. Count on a 20 mins walk to the first restaurant of shop. Tip: take your breakfast in one of the gardens, or on the roof!

  A charming hotel!

  I chose this hotel for my two night trip to Procida based on price and reviews and was not disappointed at all. To be honest, the rooms do not have particularly modern furniture however this adds to the charm. They are spacious, clean and I was amazed to find that they have a little kitchenette area. The hotel has a very pleasant outside area with terraces and seating amidst the lemon trees and my stay was a pleasant, relaxing experience. Id definitely return here. One thing to consider however, is the distance from the harbour, which is about a kilometre. Its absolutely no sweat for me and is a very enjoyable walk, however if you have mobility issues you may have some difficulty.

  The 'Lemon' Hotel

  I call this little hotel on the island of Procida the 'lemon' hotel because the gardens are full of lemon trees and other plants and flowers and,for me,is enchanting.I have stayed here various times,when having to be in Naples but prefer to stay on the island of Procida at night for it's relaxing and charming atmosphere...away from the hussle and bussle of the big city... and Gofredo and his family have always been very kind and always willing to help.There is a little garden adjacent to the hotel where one can sit in the shade of the trees with a drink and view the bay of Naples with Vesuvius dominating the distant skyline behind Naples. Only 20 mins on the local boats into Naples where you can easily get the train to Pompei or other localities..even easily visit Capri or Ischia.For anyone who has to visit Naples,either for tourism or work I highly recommend staying on the Island rather than the city....well worth the little boat trip to get out of the city... The 'Procidians' do NOT consider themselves 'Napolitans'..worthwhile remembering !

  Everything was dirty, dirty and damp.

  Not clean, terrible experience!!! I spent 1 night in this hotel for holiday and it was the worst experience of my life. I dont have high standards for the hotels but the basic things yes, i need to have them because I pay for a service! A double room that was so old, the bed was uncomfortable. The bed was not clean in fact I had a reaction on my skin as if there was some dust or something that was biting me. The smell was terrible. Everything was dirty, dirty and damp. There were spider webs in every corner. The bath was full of hair, which we had to clean first. The shower was full of mold. Also the fridge, ancient and mold everywhere. They really spoiled the days on Procida. I even had hair in the bed and on the pillow. No more! It is a very sad hotel and creepy. and compared to the service offered is expensive! We paid to cancel the other days ... Will never go back again. Be brave and face the fact that you do not care about giving a good service!! At all!
