worst hotel in congo brazzavillecheck in was very slow, they had no atm machines or bureau de change close by to change our pounds to cfa. The staff was over friendly and sometimes too impatient when we gave tips. They seem to expect more than we gave. My husband made the mistake of giving out our email address to one of the waiters. When we got back to London, our email was almost closed due to the many requests from money, gifts, even visas from the waiters. Apparently he had given out our email address to almost all the other waiters at the hotel, we also had a similar experience in another country in Africa though the one in brazzaville was worse. The food was horrible and i mean extremely horrible. The sheets were stained and the carpets in the room had a dump-like smell. Will we ever stay at this hotel again? NO NO NO. please do not be fooled but there's nothing much to see in brazzaville. The town is very small and dirty. And if you do not speak french then you can barely get by. we also stayed in pointe noire(another city). I preferred that to brazzaville. I enjoyed taking walks by the beach side and relaxing after work. Brazzaville is the worst thing that ever happened to Africa. If you happen to be visiting Congo, DO MAKE SURE YOU STAY IN POINTE NOIRE. It's not all that but its definitely better than brazzaville. Brazzaville is dirty, loud and annoying but pointe noire is more peaceful.

Spartan but adequate, confirm your price! This hotel turned out to be in a lovely location, just a 10 or so minute walk from the city's center. We booked our rooms, three 'standard' rooms, for 35,000 CFA per night, paying a deposit of one night's stay through Paypal on their website. The rooms were basic but clean. Hot running water but little water pressure, clean rooms, but no room cleaning service (so our tile floors got sandy), tiny ants in the bathroom but no mosquitos, good location but a long potholed dirt road to walk down to get there, easy online booking but a considerable kerfuffle as we were checking out over what the room prices were. Their website said they took credit cards, but the card machine was (conveniently?) broken. We had fortunately brought enough cash. The wifi was free, and the hotel called taxis for us to the front door. There were mini-fridges in the rooms, and televisions. We had three rooms for the six of us, and between the three rooms we had one working fridge and one working TV.

easy walk to cityWas a quick 10 minute walk to town and Brazzaville is small and easily walked except for embassies. The room was big and clean, fridge included. I had a balcony that overlooked banana trees which was really nice.Far away not to hear the generator if it was on. I found the reception staff friendly and helpful - i had no issues with them. wifi was able to stream. No hot water in the shower except for one day - after the technician came , then it was gone again . Good price for Brazzaville. Mostly African businessmen staying there but friendly

Not a Good Choice Due to Management, but Otherwise a Low/Average Hotel.Overall: Our experience was quite bad, mostly on account of the manager's insistence that we pay double the rate that had been promised, in spite of it being clearly spelled out on the booking confirmation. On account of this, we cut our stay short and found alternate lodging. Had the terms of our reservation been respected, I would have given a rating of 2 or 3 out of 5, but as it is I cannot recommend this place. Location: Fairly good, and even though the hotel is not on a main street, taxis can be called or found circulating a block away; it's also an easy (10-minute) walk to restaurants and bars in town; not every taxi driver knows the place, but there is a sign on the main road (Avenue de l'Amitie, a left turn about 50 yards north of the intersection with Rue du Colonel Brisset and Rue Behangle) that points the way. Room: The bed was firm but comfortable, and there was a good amount of space as well as a nice view of some neighbor's bananas off our balcony; there was no chair for the desk and no furniture for sitting on the balcony; the bathroom had a western-style toilet with a broken seat, and the shower head was precariously attached to the wall; there was no hot water and water pressure was consistently poor; the room had air conditioning, the only downside being a rather bright light on the unit when turned on; with the curtains drawn the room blocked a decent amount of sunlight but surely not blackout; room was nicely quiet during the night. Hotel: There was a bar with what looked like a basic collection of liquor on the shelf, but we didn't have occasion to drink there; the hotel had no bottled water on hand; a breakfast was available but we did not partake as we didn't arrange it in advance; there was a pleasant outdoor seating area outdoors; despite information provided online, the hotel did not accept credit cards. Staff: The service rating I provided in this review solely reflects the management (see above); aside from that, check-in was relatively efficient; upon checking out, the guy at the front desk recognized that the manager's stance was unprofessional but was bound to try to enforce that stance so I don't fault him. Value: Overpriced for what you get; there are cheaper, better options in Brazza; 80 Euros, or 52,400 Francs, per night was certainly more than the room was worth.
