Re visitRevisited because of location close to the Olympic stadium and the Foro italico for the tennis. The bathrooms appeared to have been updated but our toilet had a badly cracked and broken seat.. Which was replaced the next day, also only half a toilet roll so we pinched a couple from the store cupboard! The taxi we arranged did not turn up at the airport so we had to find one ourselves at an extra 15 euro. No explanation or apology was given. We did not have breakfast here preferring to go to the bar down the road in the square which had more choice and a more authentic italian atmosphere. We also had a corner room on the first floor which overlooked the street and was noisy at night not helped by the army security guards that stood underneath and seemed to chatter to each other all night! The restaurant opposite is very good and stays open late in the evening which was very useful for us on our way back from the tennis.

OK only for an overnight stay.I found the gentelmen at the reception a little slow on asking and taking information. The rooms are large but needs up dating, and needs a better cleaning system especially dust on TV and carpets needs to be refreshed. It fine for a one night stay near station of Tiburtina. If you book, choose top floor so you dont have any one walking and talking all night above your head.

Excellent Location for Italian Masters Tennis or Lazio / Roma SoccerThis apart/hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to Foro Italico and the Olympic Stadium. My wife and I stayed here to visit the Rome Masters tennis and couldn't have picked a better location. It cost us 15 euros to get there from the city centre by taxi but if we had known sooner, we could have travelled by Metro and Tram for 1 euro 50 cents each and when we left to return to Ciampino Airport, instead of paying 50 euros for a taxi, it cost us only 12 euro 80 cents. The Tram stop is only one minute away and takes you to Piazza del Poppolo in about 5 or 6 minutes. From there you can walk to Trevi Fountain or The Spanish Steps in five minutes or access the Metro and travel all over Rome. As I said, the ticket costs 1.50 but this gives unlimited access to Trams, Metro and Buses for 100 minutes. The apartment was large and clean but was tired looking and could do with a bit of an upgrade, especially the kitchen units and appliances, although this would not put us off staying there again. The only down side for us was that none of the reception staff we encountered could speak very good English and neither my wife nor I can speak Italian which caused a bit of a problem when we were booking out at 6.00am and the guy on reception didn't know how to work the credit card machine; however between us we eventually managed to get it working,

Basic Accommodation Just 15 Minutes Walk From Olympic StadiumStayed here for one night in June while attending the Depeche Mode concert at the Olympic Stadium. The plus point: We couldn't have picked a better location, just 15 mins easy walk across the bridge and we were back in our room, while thousands were struggling to find transportation into Central Rome. The room was spacious but very basic, to the point of being a bit run-down. The double bed was old and hard, with only one pillow each, but it was tolerable for one night. The aircon was effective at keeping the room cool. We were on the top floor (7th) and there was no noise disturbance from inside or outside the building at night. A little 15" TV was provided in the room, but the power socket was broken and hanging from the wall, so we didn't dare use it due to safety concerns. The room has a separate small kitchen, with an old electric oven and hobs. Our booking said that there was supposed to be a microwave, but there definitely wasnt. There was also no kettle for making hot drinks, so we had to buy our own jar of coffee and boil up some water in a pan which was a bit inconvenient. The bathroom was very dated, with a shower head on a hose above a bathtub. Water pressure was low, and the fittings that were supposed to hold the hose in place were loose/broken, meaning that we had to shower whilst holding the spray in one hand. Not impressed. The guy on reception was friendly enough and check in/out were very quick. There are two heavily armed military guards stationed at the entrance to this property, day and night, and I still dont have a clue why! Perhaps to stop someone stealing the remaining kettles and microwaves from the rooms which still have them (?!) Overall, this is an acceptable place to stay for an overnighter if you are attending an event at the Olympic Stadium, and want to get home quickly & safely afterwards; and if you are not too fussy or expecting the Ritz.
