  Good location, nice people

  Appartment with seperate bedroom and a little place in front of the house. Nice and quiet, close to the center of lovely Castiglione del Lago. Lake is very near. You can rent bikes nearby, and cycle tot Pasignano, and take the ferryboat back. You can have a stop on one of the islands, you have to stop there anyway. Lovely day! The young couple that runs the place are friendly and take an effort to be at your service. The swimmingpool is small, but if you don't mean to practice for the olympics it is a fresh end of the day. Wifi at the reception area. Good price/quality ratio.

  Very Friendly

  We rented 3 apartments and had a great time.For my family 2 adults and 2 children we managed to sleep in 1 apartment. 3 single beds and 1 pull out bed which was snug but quite adequate. We used the kitchen ok some off the time but preferred to eat out as much as possible.(well you would in Italy). The complex has a small pool that the kids loved and was nice and shallow for my 4 year old. Also had free table tennis and table football. Breakfast was nice coffee and great fresh pastries with toast and fresh juice, best thing is breakfast starts at 8am till about 11am so very laid back. Many thanks to Luca the owner and his great staff, Alfonso and Eddy are all very friendly. We also loved the dog called Argo. We would recommend for families and single people, and is in a great location for the lake and castle.

  Disappointing experience

  The photos of this residence are very misleading. It is only the front that looks over the lake, the other gardens look over the side road, or the back and the pool is small. The apartment itself was very tiny, the third bed serving as the settee. The kitchen area was only equipped with a gas hob and fridge. There was no microwave or coffee machine. The bedroom was adequate, and the bed comfortable. It was not mentioned when booking, that almost opposite to the residence is the police dog training centre. The dogs bark all day until about 22.45 hrs. and can be heard for quite a distance around the Lake. I love dogs and have 3 of my own, but this was rather excessive ! However, the staff are very helpful, although very little English is spoken, and the breakfast was OK. Castiglione del Lago is very pretty, and is an easy walk from the residence, as are the restaurants. There are two large supermarkets nearby which make it easy for shopping. All in all, this was a very disappointing experience.
