Best thing about this hotel was that it is next to ski slope. Staff is very limited in speaking English and food at restaurant is always the same with limited variety of meals. Kids' program is usually in time when people are skiing or late in the evening when kids need to go to sleep. Pool temperature is very cold, they say it's 28 C but it is more like 23 C. And staff can't explain how to get to the pool.

Perfectly adequate for a skiing holiday

I would have like to rate this hotel as GOOD, but the only options you get are average or very good. This is a good hotel for a family ski holiday. We stayed here as part an organised ski trip. The Hotel is ski in-ski out and in a great location, a very short walk to main gondola and chair lift which is particularly helpful when with children as they can carry their own skis to the lift so you dont have to! The only issue to be aware of is that the ski back to the hotel is via a very long red or a black, so beginners/early intermediates will have to download on the gondola. My 9 year old daughter managed the red quite comfortably early in the day, but I wouldn't advise it for the last run when it is heavily moguled and very busy. The Hotel is built in 1960s style and while it may not be pretty to look at; it is surrounded by amazing scenery and beautiful mountains which more than make up for this. The rooms in the hotel are a good size with an en-suite bathroom. The rooms are functional, comfortable and clean and we found the beds really comfortable. We used the indoor swimming pool every other night which the kids loved. The restaurant is buffet style for breakfast, lunch and evening meal and there was always a good choice available. There is plenty to keep families amused at night: there is a bar with evening entertainment, a games room and a tv room. The hotel corridors leading to the bedrooms are rather dark and wood panelled and its like a rabbit warren when you are trying to find the swimming pool. Its probably overdue a facelift/refurbishment but this didn't detract from our holiday. Marilleva We loved Marilleva and would definitely return. The scenery is amazing, the Dolomite Mountains make a spectacular backdrop and we loved the tree-lined runs. There is a beginner nursery slope with magic carpet close to the hotel and a blue run from a button lift. After that you need to take either the gondola or the chair lift up the mountain. There are some nice blues above 1800m, but if you want to venture further to Folgarida or Madonna di Campiglio you need to be able to manage a red run which were perfectly do-able. Marilleva is great for families the runs are compact on the Marilleva side but if you want to venture further you can head over to Folgarida and if you extend your lift pass go further to Madonna di Campiligio.

A pie de pista, eminentemente para familias

Leimos mucho antes de ir a este hotel. Os doy mi opinión, empezamos con lo negativo. Ascensores insuficientes para el número de alojados. A ciertas horas ES IMPOSIBLE pillarlo.

    Skiing and good food focus

I was in the same hotel long time ago so I knew what to expect. I have bought skiing package from tour operator at very good price therefore number one focus was on good skiiing. After years I found hotel in good condition. I saw some improvements and modernizations. Definitelly room was renowated over the years. I wass together with my wife and adult dughter. We had 2 rooms apartment, enough big, clean and bright. Standard of the room is 3, bathroom with the curtain shower even 2, but location of the hotel is really 4+ - unless your focus is evening party and city tours :), food during the dinner was 5, servis and hotel team friendness 4+ plus assessing value vs price for me was strong 4. Might be surprising for some of the readers but price factor, on top of location/quality/cleanness/friendness, is crucial for me to assess hotel and suggest general rating. Overall experience was above expectations. We had good skiing, location (in case you have focus on skiing) and evening food.

    Short stay

Visited for a couple of days prior to a week long trip in late March. The hotel will not win many beauty contests but it does what it sets out to achieve. It is perfectly positioned at the foot of the slopes and is close to key amenities such as ski rental etc. Food is plentiful and perfect for the job and the facilities in the hotel are fine.
