  Good location - that's all!

  Sadly, this is not a place I would return to in a hurry. It has so much potential, but is dated and definitely needs a good scrub. The woman who met us and checked us in was nice enough, but not incredibly helpful/able to get us acquainted with the area. We were travelling with a baby, so not having access to a kettle and microwave made meal times/bottles difficult. The gas stove and fridge were temperamental, and I wouldn't say that the kitchen was very well kitted out. It was all just hard work to be honest. Having said all that, the place is in a great location in Ravello, easy to get to by car, with a few (very small) parking spots, and close to the central piazza (3 mins walk!).

  The Affordable Revello

  Revello tends to be very exclusive and expensive to stay in a hotel and Residence Le Villette let's you stay here affordably. Alot of people come for the day and leave in the late afternoon so it is wonderful to enjoy Revello with the locals at night. This apartment is a bit basic but fully equipped and very clean. There is a pool with a lovely view of the mountains and Valley and also a lovely balcony or terrace. It's a very unusual complex and from the lower road it is very hard to spot. We were thankful we had a car and driver. There was free wifi. Loved that. Remember it is a very basic apartment in a lovely setting in a very special village. I would stay here again but planning something a bit different in Maiori this June. But I do love Revello and look forward to a day visit in June.

  Very helpful

  Rooms had plenty of space, clean and tidy with good wardrobe space and adequate cooking/ food prep.We were in Ravello for a wedding and found Residence Le Villette in a great location, walk from main square to appartment all flat (on steep hills) only 5mins.Staff were very obliging and spoke English , which helped. In all would recommend, but if you want luxury pay more and stay else where. We found out they had a book with lots of info about the area and appartments only on the last day of our stay, first day would have been better. Pool area nice with adjoining large sunbathing deck with great views. All in and at the price (and Ravello can be very expensive) would recomened.

  I would return tomorrow if I could

  We spent a week here in July having wanted to visit Ravello and the Amalfi coast for along time. I have no hesitation in saying it was one of the loveliest, most memorable holidays weve ever had. Our apartment at Le Villette was basic and slightly quirky in its furnishings but it was clean, quiet and perfectly comfortable - good value for the money. The staff were friendly and helpful too. However, the setting of the apartments is priceless. A fabulous, large sun terrace looks out over the hills towards Scala and down to the coast. Beside it is Villettes good-sized swimming pool (for this region), in a secluded and pretty setting and with more breathtaking views across the valley. A further bonus for Villette residents is that the apartment complex is right in the centre of Ravello, about 3 minutes walk from the main square. So although the block doesnt have its own facilities such as a bar or restaurant, there is plenty of choice in Ravello itself as well as just the sheer beauty of the town to enjoy plus its stunning views of the coastline. The whole area also has lovely walks through magnificent scenery, glorious gardens to visit and a good bus service down to the coast.

  No Frills

  We arrived by ferry into Amilfi and had taxi drive us up the hill into Ravello, cost $50 euro, Deago welcomed us as we arrived at the entrance, the rooms are very basic, saying that it has everything we need for our 4 nights. Deago showed us around the property which is set over 4 levels. My wife was a little concerned that the room had no aircon as the temperature in Ravello was 35 dgs, Deago brought in a fan and that did the trick, the room was very large with big bedroom kitchen, dining room. They were very accommodating, we had washed that needed to be done and they took it away and did this free of charge. Our daughter was getting married and her hotel was only 100 metres from our hotels. This was a perfect place to stay if youre traveling on a budget. If your after relaxation they have a very deep pool (water was cold ) and roof top sun loungers that were perfect for sitting back and reading a book. The Ravello square is only 2 mins walk from this hotel, we recommend this property.
