Well appointed ski accommodation in Tigne Le LacStayed at Residence le Telemark for a weeks skiing at Easter 2019. Location is OK for the pistes. You can ski down to a couple of lifts or take a short walk up to the main ski area where most of the lifts are and the ski school starts from. We had a 6 person apartment, for the four of us which had two bedrooms (double and twin) as well as en-suite bathroom. The apartment was clean and tidy with all we really needed for the week, including plenty of storage. Each room has it's own "boot locker" in a ski/boot room. In addition to the rooms, there was a reasonable sized swimming pool, with a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room - which were great after a day on the slopes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice extra is that you can place a breakfast order in the evening for fresh bread, croissant, pain au chocolat etc, and collect the following morning.

Excellent apartmentWe stayed in a 2 bed apartment for 4 people for a week in August. Really comfortable accommodation and very well equipped. We had a very spacious balcony with great views over the town. The hotel is on the edge of Tignes Le Lac, only a very short 5 min walk into the centre. Very helpful staff and good facilities including a lovely pool complex.

Comfortable Apartment with excellent SpaTwo of us stayed here for a weeks skiing in January 2020. The room (4 person, 1 bedroom) was comfortable and well appointed, although rather chilly (we had room 1, next tot eh entrance) - the staff provided a portable heater that solved the problem. The ski lockers are good with air (not heated) boot dryers, although the ski in / out is interesting to say the least. I am an experienced skier, and the ski in is pretty difficult, particularly in icy conditions. That being said, the apartments are very close to the lifts and runs. The Spa is probably the best in any alpine apartments that i have come across - 2 saunas, a steam room, two jacuzzis, and a decent size pool. There is also a gym. Located just as you enter Tignes, it is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, and is fairly close to a Spa. Also the underground parking is very good and a reasonable price

Great staff and very comfortable apartmentWe have just finished staying here for a weeks skiing. Our trip in from Geneva was very slow in traffic and we were really tired when we arrived. The staff at the hotel were fantastic at check in and instantly made us at home and were very thorough at explaining all of the properties many features. We stayed in apartment 8 which was a 2 br apartment on the first floor. It was comfortable and had direct slope access from that floor but our ski lockers were on the floor below. No big deal as you could also ski out from ground floor across the road. We had an issue with our heater in the lounge and thought it was just us struggling with it but as soon as we asked the maintenance crew came and replaced it. Very good service. If you have small children this isnt the best place for ski in and out and will probably end up walking or taking the bus to the main town centre as the runs are not really conducive for little kids. Having said that it is a quick walk to town for adults. Where there are 4 supermarkets which I found. As mentioned earlier the staff were great. I notice that some people have commented about the fact you have to take an inventory check of the kitchen and take your rubbish out at the end. Yes, a bit painful but this is standard on France so just chalk it up as another unique holiday experience!

Very disappointingWe have just returned from a family ski holiday in Tignes. This is the third time we have used CGH apartments for ski holidays and our previous experiences have been extremely positive, hence the repeat bookings. However this property was extremely disappointing on many fronts and questionable as to where it earns its 4* status. The apartment was generally quite tatty - broken radiators, remnants of Christmas decorations left in the lounge , views from all rooms where of concrete walls. One of the rooms was accessed by a retractable loft ladder. We had no hot water for 4 days. The staff were pleasant but told us that it was because there was a high demand for showers as guests came off the slopes. After 4 days of tepid showers we complained again (along with other guests) and finally the issue was resolved to some extent. The jacuzzi in the spa was not working for half the time we were there, the steam room smelt similar to the ski lockers but the sauna was good. Ski lockers were not heated so most morning our boots were only slightly drier than the previous evening. This is not a budget rental, we appreciated that it was half term but we paid a lot of money for a very below par accommodation and would certainly think twice before booking with CGH again.
