  Another great stay in Wichita

  We always stay at the Residence Inn when we're in Wichita. We visit approximately four times a year for medical treatment. We tried a different location once and it was not worth the price. We love the Residence Inn for it's location, pricing, and how friendly the staff is. Everyone is always helpful. We experienced a few glitches with housekeeping but all were quickly and easily remedied. The hotel has an outdoor pool, a very nice gym, a laundry room and a basketball court.The rooms are very spacious with great open views. The location is key - close to many fun places for kids. It is walking distance to many restaurants including the new Chicken and Pickle. Right next door is the Alley which is a big facility for bowling, laser tag, go karting. Next to that is a giant movie theater. It's really an ideal location for kids and families. They also have a shuttle service that took us to our medical treatment each day. Thank you for always making our stay pleasurable.

  Passing through

  Excellent hotel. Clean spacious suites. We arrived after a seven hour road trip feeling very tired. Staff at Reception were friendly. An added bonus was the happy hour provided by the hotel (chicken breast with bbq sauce, buns, two salads, fresh fruit along with beer or wine) Breakfast was excellent, perfect scrambled eggs, sausage, cream gravy, good coffee, fresh fruit. This hotel obviously prides itself in providing the best service to their patrons. You cannot go wrong here. We will return.

  Poor condition of our room

  We had stayed at this location a couple if times about 6 years ago. Stayed this weekend and was extremely disappointed in the condition of the room: ripped drapery, mold and mildew in the bathroom. This was suite 419. I was shocked that the room was in this poor if condition.

  Wedding weekend blues

  We have always had good luck with the Residence Inn hotels but not this time. We were told a year ago when we booked a shuttle was available and the website still says a shuttle is availablenot the case, it wasnt. The room was in sad shape and the staff did not clean our room over the weekend, no fresh towels, wash cloths, etc. Ive included pictures of our sad room. Our daughters wedding was beautiful, so sorry our room didnt match. This is a fairly upscale area and they Residence Inn needs to at least upscale their hotel a bit.

  Disappointing

  We choose Marriott Residence Inn for our travel stays frequently. We have never had such a poor experience as our stay here. Dishwasher with dirty dishes had not been run, no detergents, place settings for 2. Bed linens very thin, no kitchen towel or dishcloth. The sleeper sofa needed spot cleaning. The desk clerk gave us dishwasher detergents, we ran it and were amazed at how noisy it was! The window screen was ripped, two of three light bulbs over vanity were out. During Covid, were accustomed to a limited breakfast. They just had coffee. Nothing else. As we checked out at 11:00 AM, my husband went to get coffee for the trip. The desk clerk told him she had just dumped it. And that was it! Im just glad we used our Marriott points for our stay as it wont have been worth the money!
