  Buena estadia!

  El Residence Inn de Stockton es un hotel que cumple con todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía a un precio conveniente. Limpias y amplias habitaciones y un buen servicio por parte de sus trabajadores. Lo recomiendo

  Great stay

  When we first drove up, we thought it was an apartment complex. Our suite was spacious and clean. It was obvious there had been recent updates. There was a courtyard where groups could have cookouts or just sit and relax. The breakfast buffet was nice, the usual hotel breakfast but the fruit was fresh (pineapple and melon) and tasted like it had been sliced that morning. There was a grocery store just a short drive down the road. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

  On the Downward Slope?

  I stay at a lot of Marriotts. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before and have always thought it to be a great place to stay. Not anymore. The check in person was very condescending and just short of rude. Although I do not have a pet I was put in the pet section. Later at night I had to finally call the front desk to complain about a barking dog. The desk acknowledged that others had complained before I called. The elevator did not work. The rear parking lot door did not work. The room was not clean (my feet stuck to the floor). The sink leaked. Oh my! I am not sure if this place is still a Marriott? Marriott has a high standard and I am spoiled. I can not recommend this hotel.

  tree sap problems in back parking lot

  stayed one night and parked in back parking lot by one of the hotel doors. found tree sap drops on car and fine sticky spray over most of the car. do not park along the back row of the back parking lot under or near any of the trees. had to go to a car wash immediately in the morning before continuing our trip. the trees are on the Residence Inn side of the property and they should replace all of them to avoid more damage to clients' cars. the hotel gave us an impression of an older/aged facility with dark halls and slow elevators. the lobby and breakfast areas were bright and clean. we are elite Marriott members but had to ask reception for our free bottles of water. staff was kind enough to provide them to us at the front desk. breakfast and room were both adequate but do not compare well with other Residence Inns or even Springhill Suites. we would suggest to try another Marriott instead of this one for Stockton.

  Poor experence

  We stayed here several nights as I was in town for business. First the room was too cold one night and we tried to turn the thermostat to a higher temperature. Overnight the temperature rose to 83 degrees. We tried to turn it down and it was impossible. We called the front desk who sent someone who proceeded to be unable to rectify the problem, and then blamed us, not only to our face but also to the front desk people. We were moved to another room which had exactly the same issue as the first, without our touching the thermostat. We were then moved to a third room which finally was comfortable. The next night, some guests were very loud outside and the front desk acted as if I was bothering them when I asked them to turn it down. It took a while before it was tolerable. Hopefully the renovations will help. At this time it is a poor choice of a hotel. I will not be back. We felt we were treated rudely.
