Excellent staff and hotelWe traveled to the hotel for Thanksgiving to meet relatives coming from northern Illinois. Christina checked us in on Thanksgiving and had a room ready at 10:30 am. She made sure she had our room right next to our relatives who checked in on Wednesday. Christina was very professional and welcoming. She is an outstanding employee representing the hotel with hospitality. The breakfast staff of Ronda, Donna, and Cindy were very friendly during the breakfast time. The kept the food supplied and area clean and interacted with the guests and made them feel welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

A Comfortable Stay in SpringfieldThis was my first stay in a Residence Inn, which is part of the Marriott group. Very nice hotel, friendly and accommodating staff and it was nice to have a full size fridge and living room. There was free breakfast in the morning and plenty to choose from for food selection. Great place to stay should you find yourself in the "Land of Lincoln" :)

Great experience! Our new hotel for trips to Springfield. From the quick and friendly check in to the great engagement from the breakfast team, we enjoyed our stay! Room was clean and comfortable with everything you need to feel at home. The pool / hot tub area was clean and relaxing. At about 5am in the morning I had to grab something out of our car. When I walked past the breakfast area, two ladies (Donna and Rhonda I believe) greeted me and invited me to have a cup of coffee. I sat down with them and enjoyed talking to them while they finished their break. Great welcoming feeling. The ladies clearly took pride in their roles and delivered hospitality 110%. This will be our home away from home when visiting Springfield.

The Absolute BestTypical Marriott Hotels are always a good choice. When traveling 98% of the time we stay at Marriotts and 99% of the time we are never disappointed. This hotel was amazing especially in a pandemic. You can book pool slots for an hour with just your family, its clean, the staff are friendly and they have found a way to offer a hot breakfast in a safe manner while other hotels are pre-packaging. Worth they stay!

What did we get exposed to?My daughter and I stopped on our way home hoping for good beds as we had driven close to 24h in 4 days. She has a weakened immune system, which sets up what makes this even worse. We get in our room and I get her settled in the second bedroom. We had some dinner and then started getting ready for bed. At this point it was late and we were VERY tired. I noticed the master bathroom had no bath towels or wash cloths but the soaps and disinfecting wipes were there so didn't think much of it. There was 1 hand towel next to the sink that kinda looked like it was just tossed there but mostly folded. Didn't think much of it. I got a wash cloth from the other bathroom, washed my face, dried it with that hand towel and headed to bed. The pillows were a bit messy but again, too tired to think about it much. Now, the bed! I had to perch in the very center of it and try to balance. The edges were so broken down that I felt like I was going to roll right out of it. It was VERY springy in a bad way. The springs made a ton of noise and were very apparent. I finally fell asleep but woke up every time I moved due to that feeling of falling off the side if I got off the very center. The next morning I get up and get a towel from the other bathroom and go to take a shower. I reach in through the curtain and turn it on. Once it was warmed up I opened the curtain... There was a hair covered sliver of soap in the soap holder and every inch of surface that was not being hit by the water was COVERED in head hair and pubes.... I also notice a used towel shoved behind the toilet... I now have these flashes of that slightly out of place towel that I dried my face with the night before... Was it used? What was dried with it? Did I wipe someone's butt towel on my face? What about those messy pillows? Was the bedding not changed? Did I sleep with my face against some other person's drool? What else wasn't cleaned? When we checked out I told the kid behind the counter about it and asked how long ago the last person checked out... 7 days... Well within the length of time covid can live on surfaces. What did my daughter just get exposed to? What did I just get exposed to? He took a note and said he would have his manager give me a call. It's been 26 hours and no call so I am writing this review. I will definitely not be staying here again! Room was $200 for the 8 hours we were in it but what will be the true cost?
