  Wonderful Thanksgiving stay

  Came here to spend Thanksgiving with family in the area. Fantastic stay thanks to Jackie. My sister was also staying at the same hotel and we requested rooms close to each other. Jackie and her staff were friendly and very accommodating and got our rooms right next door to each other. The rooms were spacious, clean and had plenty of amenities (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, etc) Breakfast was busy but good every morning. We will be back next year. I highly recommend.

  Really nice people

  I stayed here with a group for a swim meet. I want to compliment the entire staff. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. I spent kind of a lot of time in the lobby between sessions either reading or hanging out with other families and could overhear the goings on at the front desk. Every customer was greeted so courteously and the staff went out of their way to meet any needs. I called to the desk to see that our room got cleaned on the earlier side. She asked me what time would be best and on subsequent days they were there right at that time. The room was very clean. My only issue with the room is that if you have a one bedroom with someone using the sleeper sofa, you have to enter the bedroom to get to the bathroom. There's no real privacy with that. If you need more space I would recommend the two bedroom. The property is adjacent to some lovely walking/running trails, across the street from Lifetime fitness, and has easy access to the highway.   Went above and beyond!

  Our son has been staying at the Cary Residence Inn since before Thanksgiving, with his job relocation, and we knew that he would not be able to come home for Christmas. I called to see if we could book a room near him in the Inn, and they gave us a room right around the corner! We were able to spend time with him Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The room even had a fireplace! We were able to make hot cider and cookies as well as breakfast Christmas morning. Anyone would prefer to be home for Christmas, but thanks to this wonderful staff, we were able to have a homey place to celebrate Christmas as a family.

  Full price/half the services. Ants stay free!

  Absolutely our last stay at this property. The bathroom, closet and kitchen area were full of ants. We noticed them shortly after checking in and mentioned it to the front desk. They didn't have another room available, but said, "They will take care of it." We came back to find a new trash can next to the toilet. Hardly an effective solution. Anything you put down had to be shaken out before you used it to get rid of them. They were everywhere. On top of this, while charging full price for the room, there are no housekeeping services provided. In the 3 days we were there you had to exchange your own towels and make your own bed/change the sheets. Maybe if someone came in with a vacuum there wouldn't be so many ants.

  Excellent location but customer service was below par

  The hotel is an excellent location. It is right next to the highway and is also very close to restaurants, shopping areas etc. Walmart store was just 5 minutes away. I had to travel to Sanford and it was an easy 30 minute drive from the hotel. The hotel room itself was very clean and spacious. But some renovation seems to be happening at one of the wings - the parking lot had a lot of material and men part of the renovation tasks. The breakfast was sufficient but not extravagant. The reason why I reduced the rating was for customer service. A smile goes a long way in making someone comfortable but I did not see that happening. Also, I had requested for a late check-out at 2 PM and the guy at the reception was adamant that he can extend only till 1:30 PM. They ultimately extended till 2 PM since I was stuck in official work but I expected a more reasonable initial response when you have a regular Marriott customer.
