  quiet and friendly

  We have stayed here a few times and have always had a great experience! This time we were upgraded to a two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a fireplace. Very nice after a long family vacation!! The breakfast area is clean, bright and welcoming. The front desk staff was very friendly and happy to help. We will be back.

  New and clean

  We came and stayed for 1 night and were impressed with the cleanliness and newness of this hotel. The room was excellent, service was great. Even the food was good. The only 2 complaints have to do with the shower rather than a tub and the policy of not allowing guests to change channels on the lounge TV. I want to watch FOX News. I don't like it when a business doesn't let guests watch what they want.

  Pet Friendly

  Overall the stay was good. This is an older property, has had some updates, but overall not impressive. If you are looking for a place to hang out with the kids, pets (this place is pet friendly), and save money having a kitchen then this is probably a great option. The tub had been removed and replaced with a standard shower along with separate shower wand, but even for me it was very cramped. The bed was OK but you could tell the firmness was on its last legs especially if you sat on the edges. Overall my stay was goodbut I tend to expect more from Marriott. The staff from check-in to check-out were excellent and took great care of me.

  Convenient, friendly staff and clean.

  This was our first stay in a hotel as a family of five since the onset of Covid in March. We were traveling from NY and opted to stay here overnight to break up the driving until our ultimate destination in Maine. I have travelled all over the globe for work but it was still a bit odd with regard to what to expect. It turned out this was a great first stop. Staff was super friendly at checkin and absent the masks everything would have seemed perfectly normal. We had a two bedroom and it was perfect, we didn't cover every square inch of the space but we were cautious and it was quite clean. Upon checkout I needed a document printed and while there was no business center or PC, I guess due to Covid, I emailed it to the front desk and had it in no time. I didn't know when we booked but there is another Residence Inn close to the harbor. If you want to be closer to town that might be better but I have to say it is a very short trip and we had no problem driving over and spending some time in Portsmouth the one evening we were there. If you want the Harbor location but can't get in I would definitely say this absolutely a good alternative. Our stay really made us feel like we were entering the normal world again, staff is definitely top notch based on my interactions.

  Little cheaper Res Inn option for Portsmouth that worth it for savings and parking!

  Very very comfortable place to stay. Great locale to a lot of area attractions. Walk over to Redhook!. Not as convenient as Downtown Res Inn but between free parking and big savings each one has their time and place to stay!
