  Bad experience no value to your money

  No value to your money. Room is not being clean well, I asked several time but it looks like no one care. Spiders in the room bite my kid and it took them 3 days to clean the spider nets. Beds is falling apart and not comfortable. Vegetables served in breakfast were rotten.

  In my opinion this is the best hotel in Hillsboro

  I have stayed in the Residence Inn Portland Hillsboro several times and I believe this is the best hotel on the west side of town. My background is that I used to travel to Asia often for business where the 5-star hotels are super clean and have excellent service. So, I am always seeking the same level of cleanliness and service when I stay in the USA. I can confirm that the Residence Inn Portland Hillsboro delivers on both. There are other hotel chains with the word "suites" in the name, but I have found these hotel "suites" to be too small. However the Residence Inn Portland Hillsboro suites are big with plenty of room to spread out. I recommend the 2 bedroom suite. It has a full kitchen, dining area, and a living room with a fireplace! There are flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. The rooms are quiet and I could not hear my neighbors. Also, the location is wonderful. You have plenty of trees and natural areas surrounding the hotel, but the hotel is walking distance to many great bars and restaurants. Also, there is a supermarket across the street if you need to stock up on food and drinks for your hotel suite. I found the rooms extremely clean and I can recommend this hotel especially for business travelers. In addition, the hotel has free breakfast, a business center, a shuttle, and many more amenities. They also allow pets! It is rare to see a luxury hotel allow dogs so you can relax and enjoy your luxury suite with your pets. The staff was very friendly and professional. Also, I noticed that this hotel caters to business travelers from around the world so they are good at customer service. Bottom line is, this is a great hotel. You can relax in your full sized suite and then walk to a nearby bar or restaurant to enjoy a meal and drinks. I highly recommend this place!

  Solid Residence Inn Property

  Stayed for just one night with my family (four of us total). Reserved a 2BR suite and was the standard Residence inn Furnishings. The property is older but with some recent updates. Beds were comfortable, and ample parking. Pool was closed due to COVID as was traditional hot breakfast. They did a nice job with grab and go breakfast to take back to your room. A little disappointed with the proof of sanitizing due to COVID. Many properties I have stayed at have put remotes in plastic sleeves, covered phones, etc. to show it has been cleaned. Not the case with this property. Not saying things were not clean, because the room was in great shape, just sometimes the peace of mind seeing things in sealed holders his helpful. Needed an extra blanket for the hide-a-bed and used the App. to request extra services. It worked great and blanket arrived within 15 minutes. Red Robin right across the street for dinner. That was a bonus. Would for sure consider staying here again if we were in the area.

  Bad Toilets, Poor Maintenance, Poor Cleaning

  Start with the toilets. They are round which is a problem for us men. Ever thought about why there are codes that call for elongated toilets with split front toilet seats in every public restroom? Worse than round, these toilets are "cut off at the front." Next there was a beer can left by cleaning staff in the front room. The coffee pot leaked on the first day all over the floor. They brought a new one, but did not take the old one or clean up the mess beyond what we had done. We complained to a staff person about the entry being full of trash and leaves and nothing was ever done. The front door "flip lock" had been broken out of the door and poorly repaired - it looked like the scab in to the door would break out easily so would not provide any security. The rain gutters all seem to leak which in Portland means there is lots of mud washed onto the sidewalks. I've stayed in a lot of Marriotts and this is my worst experience. At least the sheets and beds were clean, but in the middle of the night I hated dragging my privates on the toilet.

  Great hotel, Horrible TV

  I live in hotels 50 weeks a year and have a choice of extended stay venues. This Residence Inn is conveniently located to work and shopping. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the beds comfortable. This stay was during the COVID-19 pandemic so there was no evening meal and only cold breakfast. Optionally I chose to do my own housekeeping but the staff was always available with clean bedding, soap, and paper products. My one complaint is with the TV provider, Enseo. Their service is HORRIBLE. The programming goes out every evening when the hotel starts filling with guests and stays out most of the weekend. I called the Enseo service number several times to report the issue. The service technician apparently clicks a button on a computer screen to reset something at the hotel (2000 miles away) which shuts down my televisions completely for 10-15 minutes and when they come back on the picture is worse than before.
