BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT STAY HERE!! MANAGER TODD IS RACIST AND THIS HOTEL & MARRIOTT SUPPORT ALL LIVES MATTER.

This says Jan. but I stayed here April to Aug of 2020. Then left and didnt come back again until Now. Over the long stay the hotel manager and I bumped heads so many times you would wonder what I did to him, which I wondered myself. My family and I stayed here I have 3 kids, my sister and her 2 kids stayed here and my mom! I first chose this hotel because one night last January my man brought me here. I liked the mini kitchen. Even the night he brought us the room we checked in was uncleared! It was as if they checked us into a room someone had just checked out of. Trash everywhere, bed unmade, dishes piled up in the sink, yucky. So we asked for another room. Fast forward to my 6 month stay. Our first room was dirty and stuff wasnt working properly. Stopped up sink, broken trash disposal, moldy food in the fridge. When we switched room the room was dirty again lol. Dirty walls, blood on the toilet, crumbs and sticky stuff in the cabinet, old salsa on top the fridge in a bag. I couldnt take it so I just chose to clean it. Days later I open the cabinet and a ROACH comes running out the cabinet down my arm. Too freaked out to take a pic! I wish I had of! I took pics of nothing and Im mad at myself! Todd is the hotel manager! He is rude and disrespectful but will smile in your face! He's even a professional liar! I complained to corporate and ever since he didnt like me. He told the office to make me bring my dirty linen to the desk! Some days I would bring linen and they would make me wait 2-3 days for fresh linen! Sometimes they would return my dirty linen with dirty linen! They would lie about there being no housekeeping but other extended stay guests I would talk to said theyre had housekeeping and one of the house keepers confirmed it to me!!! Todds behind even barged in my room one day (he said he knocked, but I didnt hear). I was fresh out the shower but I didnt see him. My daughter told me he was in there and I peeked out the bathroom because I had my towel on. He was asking when Im paying knowing dang on well my man was coming to pay!! No I didnt report him because my man handled it but I regret that too! Theeeeen he swore I couldnt pay for my room with cash!!! But he let my man pay with cash after that EVERYTIME!!!!! So fast forward to my stay this month. I stayed for my daughters birthday with my points. I wanted to extend my stay when it was time to check out. The Karen acting dude (Todd) looks me in my face and says verbatim I dont want you to stay here. Get your stuff you cant stay here anymore. I thought you werent coming back!!!! Like its his house??!! I asked him if I could record him he said no, asked him to write it down, he said no, thats how I knew he was shady. I called Marriott and they backed his decision not to let me come and said they would give me 4 free nights somewhere else! Harassment and discrimination are very ok with Marriott. And Todd is racist. Pierre is a front desk employee and he will tell you I did nothing to deserve this treatment. Actually I think majority of the staff will back me except maybe Marion but if shes honest she will prob say since Todd and I dont get along this is best to part ways. In times of black lives matters and us watching where our black dollars are directed dont put a dime into this location. If you must stand by Marriott since they dominate the hotel industry at #3 just dont come here! The room we stayed in this month was falling apart! Carpet torn up, the wall torn up. Bathroom floor unkept. Theres always weed smells in the halls, someone overdoses or passes out from being drunk at least once a week. Somebody false alarm pulled the fire alarm my last stay. Theyre lazy cleaning and washing linen. I had to wash the bed covers MYSELF and thats not even allowed!! So I contacted the health department. Roaches dont come one by one they have family. If your rooms are consistently dirty youre def not sanitizing anything and its Covid times no thanks. but anyway black people steer clear, and any other people who dont agree with how blacks are treated.

4 1/2 stars? They must all be smokers!

As far I can tell, everybody smokes pot here. The lobby stinks of marijuana and cigarettes and so do the rooms. The rooms look nice but the mattresses are old and lumpy. It just smells like a smoke-in. Im not a prude and dont care about marijuana one way or the other. But I dont need it in my room when I check in with my family or the lobby or the parking lot. I know, management...you will send a sorry we didnt provide the experience we strive for...blah blah blah message. Save your writers cramp and invest in an overhaul in your ventilation system and mattresses. Maybe even hold people accountable for smoking in your rooms and building. By the way, we were here with a team so I saw many rooms. They all stink. Nothing like Marriott pricing for Super 8 quality.

Bad for a Marriott, average for a budget hotel...which it isn't

Our room was clean...ish. While I am not covid-crazy, I was shocked at the surfaces that were not clean in our room. Obvious touch points! Specifically, the cabinet handles and the wood trim around them were obviously dirty and on the bathroom door, the insets of the door panel had caked dust on them above the eye line. While the shower itself was adequate, the soap dispenser had come off the wall and was just sitting on the tub edge. The shower head was a little low for tall people, but the handle kept drifting so the water temp would change on it's own. Every 30 seconds I'd have to adjust it again to keep from getting scalded. The sink was cracked, which made it appear that there was hair in the sink, there was a burn hole in the sofa cushion and there was a huge red stain on the carpet in front of the tv. The tv was missing the remote entirely, and when I went down to the FD to get one, I waited over ten minutes for the girl to return from de-icing the outside. She apparently did not have her phone with her (even though the hotel was almost certainly close to full), as there was a guest ahead of me who just stood there continuously calling the number *on the sign she left behind saying she'd be right back*. While the girl at check in was able to find us a room when we arrived "too early", we got to our end of the hallway to find an almost unbearable stench (and I don't use that word lightly) of stale beer and pot. One of our traveling parties went to walmart for candles because the smell inside their room was so bad. And I understand "covid precautions", but the FD was dispensing coffee one cup at a time with a Keurig. Honestly, it was so awful, why not just not bother at all and let people use the coffee maker IN THEIR ROOM. All in all, it wasn't worth complaining about because we were there with a tournament company who would screw us no matter what. That was a $100/ night experience at best and I paid $150 per night. No pool, no fitness center. If it had been my choice, I'd have left but I was over a barrel.

The best place in Pittsburg for work

This hotel represents excellence in multiple aspects: 1. Room is excellent, clean, sterile, comfortable 2. Staff is awesome!! I want to do a special shout out to Darienne Robinson, you are very special because you make your guests feel very special, you remember us, and are always very professional, yet personable, and treating us special. Thank you!! 3. Good parking, and you keep the drive clean, especially when it snows and with ice everywhere... Nice work!! Thank you, kudos to all the staff, take care and stay safe... Rick Buchman
