  Hair on my wash clothes

  So its a nice hotel. I got in relatively late and so went straight to bed. When I called for the shuttle, they said itd take ten minutes or less. My wait was a tad bit longer. Checkin was relatively smooth. They offered me a wake up call and advised of the breakfast times. The bed slept relatively well. I noticed a piece of hair in the refrigerator. I also noticed a bag of microwaveable popcorn on the counter. Breakfast was your typical breakfast (eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, bread assortment and juice). The bathroom is starting to slow slight signs of wear and age but nothing major. My wash clothes and towels, however, had noticeable hair on them. When I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout, they seemed surprised almost like it wasnt possible. So, I offered a picture. They offered some bonus point to my Marriott account and an apology (yep, thats it). I was at the front desk at 12:01 and had been informed the night before the shuttle left every half hour on the hour, so I half expected it to be gone. But it wasnt. The shuttle driver didnt appear until closer to 12:15. Luckily, the hotel is only 5-7 minutes from the airport. All in all decent stay, but the large piece of hair kinda ruined it for me. Oh, also, the shuttle driver talked on the phone the entire time taking me back to the airport. At one point, when his phone connected to the shuttle van Bluetooth, he stopped driving to pull his phone out of his pocket and switch it back to his headphones. He didnt even bother to open the door to the van when we arrived at the airport.

  Overbooked hotel. No room. Handled poorly.

  4:38 JetBlue flight jet kept getting pushed back 30 minutes at a time finally board at 9:30 and sit on the tarmac for over an hour because of a weight and balance issue - and of course the flight crew timed out. Stuck. In Philadelphia. I quickly booked 2 rooms at the Residence Inn in PHL as the attached Marriott was sold out. Grab an Uber with my colleague who was traveling with me - and am told theyre overbooked and only have one room when I arrived and that they booked me a room at the Renaissance that they would pay for - all very nice - but there is nothing more useless to someone on a business trip than a free night. I get it - overbookings happen - and this is really a first world problem - but how about something that would be meaningful to me - like a bump up in status, or enough points for a free night when it matters to me - on vacation with my family? Or something that somehow shows you get who I am and my circumstances? Again - I get it - overbookings happen. No big deal. But for me this was unacceptable.

  Nice Option Near Airport, Clean, Modern and Good Internet

  Newer Residence Inn format is clean and modern, with nicely laid out rooms. Long picture windows give you an open feel. Kitchenette allows you to make or reheat some basic foods. Love the full size refrigerator, though mine was very loud. Internet was excellent and the property itself is nicely spread out, yet very close to highways and airport. Very good gym. You will hear motorcycles zooming past the busy intersection but this trailed off by 9:30pm. There is no airport noise. There are NO nice restaurants in the area. You will either have to go to Shoprite, fast food or you have a good 15-20 min ride to areas that do. This is the only major drawback, which some won't care about.

  Nice Clean Convenient Hotel

  Stayed here on a 1-night flight layover. The hotel is very convenient to the airport. Check-in was fast and easy. Front desk guy quite friendly. The room was a nice suite. Lots of space and a good size desk. The restaurant is closed due to this Corona crap. I ordered through Uber Eats. Nice firm bed and pillows. No breakfast due to.....you know. Overall, very nice hotel. I would certainly stay here again.

  Wonderful Place To Stay!

  First time staying at a Residence Inn and I must say I was very impressed. I loved the room and how it was set up. It gave a "home away from home vibe!" The hotel was very clean and during this crazy time we are living in during covid I felt very comfortable being there. The bed was super comfy and I loved how the TV could swing from facing the bed to facing the couch or desk in the living room. The front desk ladies Selina and Barbara were very pleasant and helpful! Its a great location if you need a comfy place to stay near the airport or just want to enjoy a staycation.
