  Great stay for business

  I stayed at the Residence Inn on Walkley based on its proximity to my meeting venue, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was greeted by warm welcoming staff, and was given a spacious suite - with kitchenette, eating area, and living room space over and above the bedroom and private bathroom. My stay was over a Tuesday, so an evening social with food and drink was offered to guests. After a restful night, breakfast that is included in the rate was a wonderful selection of hot and cold items. A great stay and ideal for the business traveller.

  Great Location

  We absolutely LOVE staying at this hotel when we are visiting friends and family in the Ottawa area! We stay here usually twice a year. The front desk staff is overly helpful, always courteous and professional. The location is great, as it is close to very good restaurants and some shopping. The rooms are laid out nicely and are very spacious. The laundry facilities are more than adequate. One time, we took the bus at the intersection of Bank/Walkley to the football stadium downtown. It was very convenient, and the bus ride was free with our paid tickets to the CFL game! The hotel is always clean and parking is always plentiful. The complimentary breakfast is always enjoyable and there is a lot of selection of various fresh food items. The staff does not seem to have a high turn-over, as we often recognize the same people every visit and are on a first name basis with one of the desk clerks! We once also observed a manager picking up garbage off the floor in the breakfast area when it was busy one morning. She never told someone else to do it, and we never witnessed her telling someone not to let it happen again. That spoke volumes to us, as it was clear that no matter one's position at this hotel, everyone had a part to play in maintaining it, no matter how minor the task. We would stay nowhere else in Ottawa!!

  Home away from home.

  I've been staying at this hotel for the past two months, and have a few more weeks to stay for work. This isn't the first time I have stayed here, and came back because of the familiarity, location, and hospitality. Great central location. Clean rooms. Excellent morning staff. The airport shuttle is a bonus when required.

  Favourite Hotel

  This hotel is excellent. Its the perfect place to with your family or your friends. The rooms are spacious with a pull out couch in every room so there is always space for more! Each room also has a kitchenette with a full size fridge and dishwasher. You get all the comforts of home when you stay here. There is also an indoor pool, gym, laundry and breakfast services on site. They are unfortunately closed at the moment due to Covid precautions but I have used all of these amenities pre-pandemic and was always very happy with the services. The staff are absolutely incredible. Each time I check in I am greeted with smiling faces and a welcome home. Over time in staying at this hotel we have gotten to know all the the staff members and it really does feel like coming home. Theyll always do everything they can to make your stay more comfortable. It is located close to restaurants, grocery stores, LCBO, a walking trail and so much more. Its got all of the city necessities near by, but is also close to things like Mooneys Bay Beach and Hogs Back Park close by so you get the best of both worlds. Youll love staying here
