    In a Time of Covid the Room was Safe & Clean

    Our room was in excellent condition, well appointed and far better than other Marriott hotels of this type at which we've stayed during our travel cross country. We found it very surprising in a time of Covid that this was only hotel where the pool was open.

    Thank you for making it all just so comfortable

    We rolled into the Residence Inn by Marriott late into the evening. We were tired from a long day on the road. Yet, the moment we walked into the hotel to check in, the service was super friendly and outstandinga characteristic that was repeated throughout our short stay. The next day, the staff at reception continued to demonstrate upmost professionalism and friendliness. Even the gentleman in the breakfast area was quick to offer a helping hand when he saw I was having difficulty assembling everything for the family. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The desk was large and proved to be a great workspace. Everything in the room was working and easy-to-find. While we didnt use much in the kitchenette, it was nice to know it was available if needed, and the extra space in the kitchen was sure nice. Parking was convenient and easy. We parked on the street without any issues, but at check in, they welcomed us to use their parking lot located opposite of the street. Overall, we highly recommend this property, we will visit again should our travels bring us back through Omaha. Thank you for making it all just so comfortable

    NOT DOG FRIENDLY

    Great location, descent rooms... that's about all you get. Two hostile individuals, including the assistant manager and one of the overnight members. Everyone else, nice to interacts with. Cleanliness could be a little better but let's just blame it on COVID. The one thing you cannot blame COVID for is hostile and harassments behavior, which is what comes from the assistant manager in this property. If you are looking for a DOG FRIENDGLY hotel, DO NOT stay in this place. They have zero tolerance for any DOGS. Cannot say about other pets because I only have puppies. My dogs came visit starting Sunday 11/29 and I informed Jason, who was extremely polite, they would be staying until Sunday 12/5, he explained to me that I had to register my dogs and pay an incidental deposit. I gladly did and enjoyed a wonderful stay until Thursday night. Thursday evening around 8:00, I received an unsolicited visit from who I assume as an employee indicating that they were bringing me dish soap, which I never requested. My dogs excited to see another human being ran over by the door and the "employee" left screaming. door and lock it because this person gave me a weird impression. I continued my night routine and went to bed an hour later. My dogs, husband, and I were sleeping when the phone rang at 11:05 pm to inform us that there was a dog noise complaint. I asked where was this coming from as we had been sleeping for 2 hours already and informed them they were interrupting my sleep as I had to wake up at 5:45 am to start my day. The front desk staff indicated that the "complaint" was about two hours earlier and she had just forgotten to call, but found it appropriate to call late at night and interrupt our sleep. I talked to the assistant manager the following morning to explained the situation and let him know that there are other dogs in the floor, including across our bedroom, and he cut me off and stated "this is what we do, we hear a complain and we had to take care of it" .. Didn't apologize for the late call and didn't even give me the opportunity to explain that my dogs are with someone the entire day and don't even bark. Nevertheless, he dismissed me by saying we have "rules". The following day the manager called around 5:45 to say that this is the second complain they've received from our dogs, again these dogs don't bark and are never left alone, so if they were to bark, we would have heard them. The assistant manager indicates that if they receive on more complain they are kicking us out of the hotel. Once again, no questios asked, not even given the opportunity to explain what I'm here explaining. We opted to move rooms to not continue to be a burden to what clearly seems another annoyed guest. They conveniently told us there's only one room left in the building and assigned us to the room next to the mechanical room, which is descent in size, but quite loud. I'll be here for another 3 weeks, my dogs are living on Sunday, but I will have to pay the consequences of the incompetency from the assistant manager not following on a report the proper way. Don't bring your fur babies to this hotels if you want to stay in a peaceful place.

    Great stay

    We stayed for one night while my husband was on call at UNMC, and we were very pleased! We normally enjoy Residence Inns, and this one was no exception. The room was spacious and quiet, and the location of the property is excellent, with restaurants and shopping in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

    Disappointed. Document the condition of your room so your not charged for damage you did not commit

    Recently stayed here with our purebred registered show Collie so we could visit the eye specialist in Omaha. We were charged for damage to a chair we never used. We would not have even been alerted to this had it not come through out Marriott account. We requested photos and when management provided photos, it was evident it was a well used chair but we were charged full new price. We asked for the date the chair was purchased and how long it had been in service to arrive at a depreciated value, but management refused. To think that a purebred show Collie would jump up on a rolling desk chair like a performing circus animal is ridiculous. Additionally, the toilet worked so poorly that we had to use the public one the last day of our stay. There was damage to another chair in our room and there were also bulbs that were burnt out. Parking was horrible. We only stayed here because it was a Marriott property that was supposed to be pet friendly. I have Lifetime Gold Elite Status and Ive never encountered an issue like this ever. Very disappointed and I would not recommend this hotel.
