Okay, With Some ReservationsWe received a friendly welcome and recognition of our lifetime status from Alynna - a real hospitality professional. The lobby looks fairly new. The pool and workout room were clean and properly stocked. The rooms have not been renovated in a while. There were numerous scrapes on the walls and scratches on the furniture...but the cleanliness was okay. The breakfast is RI standard fare. The HVAC and the refrigerator were noisy and the TV had few channels. There is also significant road noise in even numbered rooms X10-X24.

Very poor customer service to say the leastWhen making my reservation with the hotel directly they completely lied to me about a payment issue followed later by my checkout experience. When I asked for an hour later checkout to be told no unless I joined their rewards program. Unfriendly and unprofessional people at front desk. So many other places to choose from, no need to spend my money to feel this way. A shame really.

Underhanded, Manipulative Staff, and Bad FoodFirst of all, all the food is too salty. It is not worth it. I ended up getting the same stuff every day (bagels). So, I told the staff that I didn't want phone calls or visiters, but I kept getting phone calls anyways. Finally, I got fed up when they said someone was on the other line and hung up Monica. They called again and I told them to stop wasting my time. The next day when I tried to book another day they told me my room was already somehow booked, even though I already had another entire day booked already. I went around in circles, just revieling all the deceptions the staff was making to try and get me to leave. Then I told them I was leaving and never coming back and they said I was kicked out! By the way, there was another Monica claiming to be the manager, who I never spoke to or saw in person. Courageous of the staff, right? I left my laptop charger there (in my room), came back the next day, and it was stolen! So either they refused to give it back or the room keeper stole it.

Good Stay Not Too Far From Cape CodDecided to spend a night at this hotel with initial plans to make it a home base after spending time on the Cape. Our plans wound up changing later on, but we decided to still use the hotel. Overall, our stay was good, and if coming back to the area and in need of a spacious room, I would likely stay again. The hotel is located right off the highway and seems a bit tucked into a tight parking area-almost like it was randomly plopped down where it was. Still, despite being near noisy roads, we never experienced any loud noise. The ladies at the desk upon check in (and throughout our one night stay) were all pleasant and answered any questions we had. The room was also a good size, a bit more dated than other Residence Inns we've stayed at in the past, but nothing that would be a deterrent for me. It seemed to be clean overall, with no noticeable issues. The one thing that got points knocked off was that when someone was in there cleaning, they discarded of their latex gloves on one of the chairs at the dining table and forgot to take them. Pre-COVID, that would have been a "no big deal, just throw them out ourselves" thing, but now, that's something that you don't really just touch without thinking about it. Our only other thing that was an issue with the room was that it was on the first floor, which personally isn't a preference, but not a big thing--except here, there are large bushes in front of the windows. while that's great for privacy-it also creates a lighting issue in the room. the regular room lighting wasn't enough to combat what the bushes blocked from getting in, so the room was a little dark because of that. Of all the hotels we stayed at recently, when it comes to a post-COVID free breakfast, this hotel had the best. Basically, the only thing missing was the meat/eggs and waffle maker. They had bagels, yogurt, fruit, an abundance of cereal choices and hard-boiled eggs, coffee and juice boxes. This was the best offering we saw everywhere we stayed, and while we did miss the hot food and the ability to sit in the breakfast area to eat (not the hotel's fault you can't eat in that area its currently state law in MA that guests can't congregate in public areas), it was a good enough breakfast for what they could offer these days. While there were those minor things that made this not a five-star stay for us, it's still a good hotel, and the area around it is quite nice too with plenty of shopping (Dartmouth Mall is maybe a mile up the road, and around the corner on State road there are several other restaurants and stores as well). Depending on what you need when going near the cape in terms of hotel, this could be a great place to rest your head for a night.

Excellent Front Desk, Room Not So CleanThe front desk staff is exceptional. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. This was my 5th hotel stay since the onset of Covid. This property has spacious rooms with a lot of surfaces. I was surprised to find the stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, lamps and tables, remote control were not as clean as at other properties. As I have in other hotels, I went over the high touch surfaces with wipes. There was quite a bit of dust and a little dirt. After recently staying at an Embassy Suites hotel and walking in to the smell of fresh Lysol, this surprised me. Night and day difference a week apart. Other than that, the stay was fine. Not too many choices for breakfast, but with the pandemic I certainly appreciate the grab and go instead of nothing. The property looks like it is due for a renovation soon. The hotel is close to a variety of restaurants so there are plenty of places to get meals nearby during a long stay.
