Probably not going to choose this place againI hate to write less than a good review but management needs to do something about bringing this hotel up to standards to reflect the upscale area in which it is in. Maybe I got unlucky with my specific room, but that is the basis upon which I am writing this review. I always can get a sense of a hotel when getting on the elevator on the main floor. I remember thinking that this place did not feel clean. The bad: I was in room 615. The room smell when I walked in was musty (maybe because it was so cold outside?) The windows from the room were absolutely filthy with dirt on the outside. I noticed some rot and rust in the bathroom tub area while showing. The couch had some smudges on both arms so I chose not to use it. The tile between the kitchen and the desk area was broken. The bed was not very comfortable and the comforter was ridiculously thin. I actually did not sleep well in the bed. The heater was noisy. The good: The staff is wonderful. Breakfast was actually pretty good. The location is close to everything a business traveler needs. The internet was fast.

Not like Residence Inn I've experienced. The only positive was the staff was great. Now the negatives. I guess I'm spoiled because I'm used to a hot breakfast at a residence inn. Breakfast had no hot food at all. Now I know COVID 19 so I completely understand. However at least have some jimmy dean breakfast sandwich. All there was, cereal, bagels, and basically anything you'd expect at a continental breakfast. I did not like the fact I had to go downstairs everytime to request anything from toilet paper to cups. Once again not their fault a virus is going on. Room was clean but missing a lot. I will stay when I'm in Minnesota area because I did love it 12 years ago. I have to wait when they decide to go back to normal.

SlippingThe staff is friendly and helpful, but the rooms are beginning to look worntorn chairs, worn sofa, etc. Also, because of the pandemic, the breakfast is minimalalthough this time they did provide oatmeal, but it was stone cold. The rooms often lack basic necessitiespaper towels or toilet paper, for example. What bothered me the most, however, is that the mask mandate is not enforced. You see people standing around and talking to employees with their masks down around their necks. At times, employees have their masks down, too. And, people often do not wear masks in the elevators. There should be a prominent signs in the elevators reminding people that masks are mandatory whether or not they are in the elevator alone or with family members. There is a MASK UP EDINA sign, but there needs to be something specific to wearing one in the elevatorsor at the very least employees should remind people that masks should be worn at all times when outside of their rooms. This hotel is near several medical facilities, and people stay there who have significant medical issues and are vulnerable.

Overall very disappointingWe were very disappointed in this place! Overall it was dirty and run down. We brought alcohol wipes to surface clean, unsure if the COVID cleaning they did was enough...it was not! The kitchen and bathroom counters were dirty, with visible toothpaste near the sink. The window ledges and light switches left our wipe grimy and black. There was a goldfish cracker on the floor and it looked like it had been hastily vacuumed. Worst of all, there was an old bagel in one of the drawers.....yuck! The hotel advertised daily housekeeping but not once in our 3 day stay did anyone come to clean, and we had to go to the front desk for new towels, soap, and toilet paper. All the furniture was very worn, one chair ripped up at the top. We were so very disappointed and will not stay again. Edina is a very upscale area and we expected at minimum a clean room without old rotting food left in it. I will say front desk staff was always friendly and helpful...not their fault
