  If only I could always stay at a RI!

  Compared to the photos I'm seeing, I believe my room was recently updated. Heck, even the new wood furniture smell still lingered in the room (in a good way). Everything was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Bed & pillows were a nice balance between soft and supportive. No wonder I love staying in Residence Inns when the price is right. Only teeny tiny minor gripe is that I wish the bathroom lighting wasn't so weird. There was a nightlight I believe that was bright enough to be distracting if the door was left open. The motion sensor smoke detector above the bed was kinda creepy too, but again, I'm just being petty. Breakfast here was actually one of the better ones on our road trip. Eggs didn't obviously taste like the powdered kind, and breakfast options were enough, though some of the milk had expired the previous day. Really like the decor in the lobby as well as the room. Check in & out was fast and friendly.

  This is a typical residence inn of recent vintage. Quality rooms, pool, etc. What makes it great is the staff. At all levels they are fantastic. Cleaning staff go above and beyond. The bartender is great. Front desk staff, the kitchen staff. I lived there a month and found every single staff member to be top notch. The typical visitors seem to be repeat business travelers or those (like my family) who were on an extended stay there due to home damage and an insurance claim. Additional note would be a nice game room (free pool table and board games) and out door sports area

  Potential

  Considering the attributes of this hotel, theres potential for it to be truly great. Pros: Clean, spacious rooms and great location near everything. Cons: 1. Its unprofessional for there to be only one person supervising front desk, and for that person to be off doing maintenance somewhere in the hotel. Why not put a sign saying back soon - on property tending to maintenance issues, or something to that effect. But to leave guests standing at the front desk for 20 minutes waiting to check in, and wondering what is going on, doesnt work. 2. Its not appropriate to allow one party to monopolize the game room all evening. What about other guests? May I suggest a 20 or 30 minute limit per guest? Or how about a sign-up sheet? The current system does not work. Dont count on people to be fair-minded. If there is no system in place, they will selfishly take as much as they can get, and they will simply figure - to hell with everyone else. Human nature I am afraid...... Thats my 2 cents, for what its worth

  Very new and modern

  First time visiting. Very new, modern and convenient to shopping and other businesses i the Midland area. Very reasonable prices and comfortable rooms. I really like the rooms with the fireplace suite. They are so relaxing!

  Watch out for your bill

  This hotel accidentally overcharged us and our family members by over $400 each. I called to fix it and they assured me they had only overcharged one account. I checked again and they had overcharged both (total of over $900). They are working to correct the issue and the hotel and staff are very nice, but beware of billing issues.
