First Business Travel since COVID-19 - Great Effort by StaffI've stayed at this hotel before so I knew what to expect. I went with a Residence Inn with a kitchen for a 5-day stay so I could cook in the room to limit exposure and just to save some money/pounds, ha. In any case, the hotel did an excellent job in social distancing and taking precautions. The staff, especially Louis, the front desk agent at night went over and above to respond to anything I might need. The hotel is a great choice in an ideal location with plenty of walkable restaurants, markets nearby.

This brand consistently delivers!This brand consistently delivers! Staff was amazing. We were able to stay with our two large breed dogs. Rooms were clean and fresh, you would never know they allowed pets. So glad we were able to have our pups in a good hotel.

Just OK; Pet Friendly 2.5 starsWe were looking for a hotel as we were passing through Little Rock. We have never been to LR before so were unsure what to expect. This hotel received great reviews and we needed a place that allowed pets. Also, read nice things about the river market area. I expect the area is nicer in the warmer months and when the restaurants are in full swing. Pros It was easy to find Self Parking lot on the premises Friendly check in and front desk professional was very kind Pet friendly Con Homeless around the hotel While we were checking in, a man approached my husband outside and asked for money (we have had this occur in other cities) Some noise as the property is right next to the ramp of the highway The room was picked up but I would not say clean. We found receipts, hair ties, and some other things underneath the furniture and on the ground. While the property states they follow the Covid guidelines and require masks, it is not enforced. We saw people inside the property without their masks on. Again, this was not terrible. It was a functional stay for us. However, if we ever return to LR we would look for another property to stay at.

Very disappointedWe stayed one night, paid cash at check in, then I was charged both a $150 deposit and the cost of the room the day after check out. No one at the hotel was helpful, gave me the run around each time i called. I couldnt even get in touch with the general manager until I called corporate and had them contact him. I spoke with him Friday and he promised to have this matter situated by Monday. Its Tuesday and still, nothing.

Avoid like the plagueI'm staying at the Residence Inn Downtown Little Rock. We are here till Friday, and have checked in yesterday (Saturday, 13th March). Since checking in we've found a number of issues with the room: 1. The room was NOT clean at all. Dust everywhere, bits of food stuck to the kitchen counters, false ceiling texture spray (popcorn type), possibly from a repair, bits on the floor on the carpet. 2. The carpet in the room had/has caramel/toffee stuck to it in chunks, probably from someones shoe. There is a good amount of it and so when we walk in the room bare foot or with socks, our feet STICK to it. It's disgusting. 3. The TV remote doesn't work. With kids aged 2 and 9, this was a disaster. 4. Pillow covers had black smudges. We reported ALL of these issues within a couple of hours of getting to the room. Emily at the front desk said she would let the manager know and they would get it all sorted out the following day (today). This morning I found TWO upholstery type staple pins on the carpet in the carpetted room area we walk in. These are BIG staple pins, not the ones from a regular stapler. I was appalled that my 2 children were running around last nigh and weren't hurt/could have been badly hurt! I stopped by the front desk this morning to ask about the manager and getting the room serviced properly, and to report the staple pins (I also dropped off the pins at the front desk). I was informed that since I didn't inform the front desk 24 hours in advance, there would be no room service today. This is despite the issues pointed out within hours of our checking in, and assurances provided the previous evening that our room would be properly taken care of. There was no reaction to the staple pins, as though these were commonly found in rooms at Marriott hotels, and have no bearing on the situation. I have just come upstairs after informing the front desk staff (manager is nowhere to be found, and supposedly "just stepped out when I arrived") that I'm happy to file a formal complaint with Marriot Head Office for this sorry situation. Everything was OK with me as long as they had cleaned the room today, and if they'd apologized for the staples. I got neither. I even asked if they had another room I could simply move to, and they said they were overbooked. There was, overall, no offer to us to remedy the situation or provide any sort of relief. And for this experience I'm going to be paying XXX+ dollars for the 6 nights I'll be staying here. This is NOT the Marriott experience I'm used to over the years that I've been a loyal member. And this is Day 1 here....
