  Not up to usual Marriott Standards!!

  Clean, had a comfortable bed. But: The first night they placed us in a room that backed up to a mechanical room. Intermittent low resonating frequency noise ALL NIGHT. Pumps?? We demanded to be moved the next morning, which they did. So-so muffin or bagel or cold cereal, banana, fruit cup Covid breakfast. The second night was much quieter, but the sofa bed my daughter was on was poor, thin ~4 tired and sad. Not a good nights sleep for her! Bare minimum kitchen supplies. And the next days breakfast was Cereal or Bagel with a frosted brownie, no fruit. Terrible. The pool was cold.

  Beware

  LOCATION: Residence Inn Las Vegas Henderson is located away from the Strip, so it may be convenient if you don't care about the famed Vegas vibe. ROOMS: Our room at the hotel was nice and spacious, in line with other Residence Inns, maybe a little bit more dated than the average. The kitchen amenities were on the lower side, but we didn't plan doing much cooking anyways. What was completely unacceptable was the number of roaches coming out at night. It's been a while since I saw a single roach at a hotel where I'm staying. This room had dozens. Also, the carpeting at the bathroom threshold had some little nails exposed, which is very painful when you walk barefoot. FOOD: The hotel provides breakfast in the area next to the reception. Because of the COVID, this was just austere food bags and coffee, but sure it's much better than nothing. POOL/SPA: The hotel has a pool, which was NOT heated. Despite still very hot weather in early October, the pool was freezing cold in the morning. Our little daughter was looking very much to go swimming in the pool, but after two tries to enter the water she gave up and we headed back to the room. STAFF: That was actually the bright part of our experience. After listening to my complains about cockroaches and nails, the manager promised to refund my charge, and sent a handyman right away to fix the nails, which was done successfully. This is why I give this hotel two stars rather than one. Pros: Spacious room, kitchenette Cons: Infestation

  Thanksgiving in Henderson

  We were guests at this Residence Inn over Thanksgiving 2020. We have a dog so that is the main reason we chose this venue, as well as our confidence that Marriott properties will strive to meet the Covid guidelines. Our trip to Vegas was to visit our son, not be a tourist. First the Positive: All the workers from the check in to housekeeping were responsive and polite. Room was typical 2 bedroom, 2 bath. Clean and overlooked the parking lot. Everything worked even though I have to admit, we only used the Refrigerator, TVs. 4. Facility was dated. Not a complaint but just observation. Now the Negative: Security was VERY lacking. We stayed in C Building, first floor. Locks into the building were not functional and anyone could come and go 24 hours a day. We were told this when we checked in but were assured that there was 24 hour Security Guards on premises, making rounds. We never saw anybody that resembled Security. There was a family above us who were VERY Loud, way beyond the norm. Sounded like there was fighting and things being thrown, screaming. It got scary and the day before we left, it sounded critical. We called the front desk. By the time we had left for the day, there were 3 cop cars at the facility. WE did notice that the window to their room was broken. Not sure of the outcome but someone was still in the room when we checked out. There is a Dispensary(Cannibus) across the street. For the entire stay, there were car lines of people, often 2-3 blocks long. They did have some sort of security This is not a complaint of the facility but of the people who stay there with dogs.ample bags provided but there was dog poop all over. Be careful if you stay there with a dog because you will need to watch closely. We traveled 3000miles on this trip. This is a universal problem. I had been told that the manager would get back to me but it has been almost a week and I have to assume I wont be hearing from anyone. Frankly, am surprised Marriott still has a connection to this facility. We wont stay there again. There is a Courtyard next to the Dispensary but cant imagine its any better.

  Solid base near to airport

  If you're heading out into Nevada, Arizona, or Utah and need a base to get supplies and rest a night, this fits the bill. Rooms are clean, property is large, management is COVID thoughtful, and there is every kind of store you need within 15 minutes. (Including Trader Joe's!!!) Easy for a family to be comfortable. It's close to the airport, too.

  Reasonable prices with good access

  Pros - This hotel is in a good location and does not charge resort fees or parking. It was a clean room with a comfortable bed. Cons - The toilet paper holder had been torn off the wall and not replaced well. The breakfast was barely edible. We had to ask for more towels. Overall, you are in Las Vegas and not spending much time in the hotel. It was an ok experience.
