    Enjoyable 1 night stay

    My wife and I stayed here for 1 night, it was a nice clean hotel. We stayed in a suite and I could see it being very nice for extended stays with the kitchenette. Our room was a little loud, but I contribute that more to the other guest than the hotel itself. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.

    Quality Visit at Residence Inn.

    We were very impressed w/how quiet the room & overall hotel was. The breakfast was as expected, but we didn't get a chance to try the evening event. The pool is suited for kids and is not a lap pool. A picture from a 2014 traveler shows a hot tub, but that has since been filled in. The beds were a little soft for me. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Paid a little more to have two bedrooms and bathrooms, but it was nice for the family to be able to spread out.

    Terrible customer service!

    During a long trip from Virginia to Kansas and back around the 4th of July, in which we stayed at 7 hotels, our experience here was the worst one of the trip! As rewards members with Platinum Elite status for both IHG and Marriott Bonvoy programs, we travel very frequently and stay in many hotels in various regions of the country. It has been interesting to compare the way states and hotel owners are responding to the current situation in the world. At this Residence Inn we had been upgraded to a 2-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom Suite because of our status. Although this was the largest, most upscale suite/room of our trip, the reason we had a bad experience was that the customer service was so terrible! After staying in 2 hotels in Kansas that didn't require masks and served their full buffet breakfast as normal, we were treated very poorly when we stayed at this Residence Inn. When we checked in, the employee (protected by his own mask and the plastic wall), dramatically threw his hands up in the air and walked back a few steps as he told us we should have masks on. After he was clearly done with checking us in and had showed us a map about how to get to our room, I mentioned that we were Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members (which he was supposed to verbally welcome us as). He then said that he had given us 500 points as a welcome gift, but it was very evident that he was bluffing and had not until we mentioned it. Later when we were in the lobby he overheard my husband talking to a front desk employee, and he came out of a room and in a hostile manner spoke about how they are ordered to follow certain restrictions. Even if they are stricter in the metro Kansas City area, there is no excuse for treating guests in that manner (especially those with Elite status)! Of course the breakfast was a sack breakfast at this Residence Inn, but we were not interested in eating it since we wanted to leave as soon as possible. I spoke to the manager about the hostile employee as we checked out, and while seeming pleasant and empathetic to us, he did not give any compensation or do anything to make us want to change our mind about advising people to avoid this hotel!

    Pathetic breakfast. You can do better!

    I understand that things have changed during Covid. We still have to travel and this is the first place that offered the most pathetic breakfast we have seen. Considering that I paid over $400 for two nights, I expected more than this. First of all, there was a bowl of GREEN BANANAS. Green bananas? A few yogurts. Dry bagels with no toaster. That was about it. A little boy was hungry and searching for something to eat with his mother. She told me that there was cereal in the cabinet but they wouldn't let him get it out. No excuses for this. There are many things you can do SAFELY and offer your guests a small continental breakfast. If not - LOWER YOUR PRICE!!!

    No electric and ants!

    There was no electric for more than 12 hours didnt even give a discount or didnt even add extra points for the inconvience,dirty dishes and ANTS! In the winter gross place customer service was the worst
