Dirty, Run Down, and DangerousAs a lifetime Titanium (over 1300 nights) Marriott member, this may have been my worst experience at any Marriott in the world. To start with, the staff was not wearing masks and showed no social distancing. Our room was 116. It was run down, the furniture was stained, the kitchen was dirty and the bed sheets were terribly worn. The worst is the mold in the bathroom. I feel like I wasted my Marriott points on this stay. I reached out to Marriott and never received a response. Shame on them.

Worst Residence InnAccording to one person at the front desk, this Marriott property has not been upgraded in 11 years! Very apparent with ripped (shredded) curtains hanging, stained carpeting, ground-in dirt on doors & walls. Kitchenette chairs were totally worn with holes in the naugahyde fabric. Bathroom was grimy. Overall the suite was shabby and filthy! Renting that suite in its current condition, and during COVID, was so unbelievable; especially for the charge incurred! The day we checked out, I reviewed the bill to find out that the charge for the second night was more than the first. When I complained AGAIN about the condition of the suite and the cost ($145. + tax), the woman mentioned what a good price that was. Not in my opinion, of course, and considering it was where we chose to stay in Indianapolis (Carmel) with our daughter before her wedding scheduled for that evening. Sensing my total displeasure, and even after saying that I would be writing this review, the woman working at the front desk did offer to give me a partial credit which I gladly accepted. As a Marriott rewards member for many years, this was a most disappointing experience none the less!

RUN DOWN PROPERTY - STAY AWAYDon't let the area fool you. This property is on its last leg. From the walk into the hotel to entering my room it was evident this hotel has not been updated or maintained as it should have been. I've never seen a Marriott property in as horrible a condition as this one. The grounds looked like they had not been maintained all summer. There were weeds and dead plants everywhere. The hallways smelled of some mysterious odor and the carpet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. As for my room, it should have been on a "do not use" list with yellow tape across the door saying "do not enter". The furniture in the room should have been thrown out ages ago. The front desk person tried to used COVID as an excuse as to why they have not upgraded the room;s furniture. The condition of the furniture showed that it was like this well before COVID. One person in party went to go to bed on the sleeper sofa and as soon as she sat laid down on it it folded in half on her, sandwiching her in the bed. We found out the sofa bed was broken. Again, this room should not have been reserved for anyone to use. We received sheets from the front desk and the sheets had old chewed up gum stuck to them. The room did not have the pots, pans, paper towels, dishcloths, and other amenities it was to supposed to have. The iron holder was full of dirt and hair. It was just disgusting. Please think twice before staying at this location. Marriott did not do much about customer satisfaction in this matter. They kind of just blew it off. See pictures...

Worst Residence ever! Stay away!We recently moved across the country & stayed at 6 different Residence Inns. This was by far the absolute worst Ive ever seen. Filthy dirty. Rude housekeeping staff. Exhausted front desk person who was trying to do everything and was super frustrated. In Carmel, IN I would expect a much nicer place. Marriott, either close this place or get new management in and upgrade it! This place gives you a very bad name.

Regular customer here, disappointed this timeI stayed here from Friday to Monday morning. Ive stayed here many times for work in the past couple years due to location, and appreciate being able to bring my pets and the staff is typically friendly and helpful. Ive rarely traveled at all during Covid and was disappointed in the cleanliness or lack there of especially in light of the posted commitment to cleanliness the hotel purports. Not once were the elevators cleaned while here. I noticed the same greasy finger prints all over the high touch areas-button pad, hand rails. Maybe they dont have cleaning staff on weekends, but hard to say your committed to cleanliness when no one is actually cleaning anything. No hand sanitizer in the dispenser on my floor by elevator either. In addition the hall to side door was never vacuumed. Pebbles and dirt all over it. My room was another story. I realize not every place is shiny and new, but all the issues just give the impression they dont take care of this property very well. Cracked toilet and sink, shabby cabinets, fraying carpet, grease all over the door hinges and door, ripped drapes they tried to fix with tape. Its just disappointing that they dont invest in these types of things and try to keep it in good repair. Its getting really rundown. May re-think my options next time.
