Look for Someplace ElseMy brother and I have met in Houston to see our older sister, three times. Each time, we have stayed at this hotel. I am 58 and my brother is 66. Our first trip, 2016, I reserved a two bedroom suite. When we checked in, the two bedroom was not available; however, we were given two adjoining suites for the same price. That was fine. In 2018, our second trip, I again reserved a two bedroom suite. Arriving, we were given two separate suites, at opposite ends of the hotel. My brother and his wife had to be moved due to the heater not working. We were charged the full price of separate suites, which is higher than a two bedroom. We attributed the discrepancy to the hotel having been hit by Harvey and did not complain. This year - We actually DID get a two bedroom suite! We hope to NOT have to stay here again! Two of our TVs did not work at all. The one in the living room and the one in the king bedroom. The top of the side table in the living area, was broken and slid completely off. There is no light fixture in the second bathroom. There was a charging cord left on the floor of the living area. And - there was a dirty washcloth left in one of the bathrooms. We reported the TVs immediately, as we discovered the discrepancy as we were unpacking, trying to listen to the news. The hotel did not have two rooms available, and as stated before, I am traveling with my brother. One suite is not an option. We were promised a repairman would be in at 9am to fix it. The repairman did NOT come until after 3pm the next day. We had been visiting our sister all day and came back about 3pm. My brother called the front desk and complained. We were told he would be right up. About 45 minutes later, I went to the front desk. The repairman showed up about an hour later. He did fix all but the light fixture in the bathroom - he did not have the correct fixture on the premises. He was extremely nice and apologetic. I have no complaints about the repairman. He was extremely polite and quickly did his work. I will be checking out today - and we have already driven around to see where else we can stay that is close to our sisters home. We have not been offered a discount. We do not plan on returning to this property. I expected much better from Marriott!

Great Stay Residence Inn Houston Northwest CypressWe had a great stay at the Residence Inn Houston Northwest Cypress from Dec 29th to Jan 2nd. Tee Jay was helpful during our visit. The rooms are clean and enjoyed using the basketball court. Jack in the Box next door is convenient. 5/5 Stars. I will definitely be back to stay at the property.

No enforcing of Marriott mask mandate .....front desk supervisor doesnt wear a mask.Disgusted by lack of compliance with Marriott corporation mask requirement. Front desk supervisor does not wear a mask and they do not tell residents to wear masks. We do not feel safe here and will look for another place for the remainder of our stay in Cypress. Very frustrating!

Super Spreader Event in ProgressFar from observing Marriott Hotels mask REQUIREMENT and safety protocols, we returned to our room this evening and the lobby and grounds were filled with people partying indoors in close proximity with no masks. Guests and hotel staff were in dire jeopardy of COVID spread. Unless something changes dramatically this is not a safe hotel. Senior management needs to know about this breech of national policy.

Really Nice PlaceRoom was very clean, bathroom spotless. The design of the two room suite was perfect. Almost full kitchen. And for some reason, outside there is a half basketball court, if that's your thing. Very quiet. Staff was friendly and efficient, if not always around. Due to Covid no, full breakfast, but there were other items, such as egg and ham biscuits. Docked a notch-one tv in the suite didn't work properly and the Bonvoy app is not exactly user friendly. Definitely would stay there again.
