  Delightful stay (even with it being 2020)

  This is not my first time to stay at Hawthorne Suites. For the price, I think it's a great place to get away. I understand it is attached to Splash Lagoon but I don't come for that. I love the roominess of the suite and the amenities it provides. I don't feel confined, I can cook, and then eat at the dining table. Cable is provided. There is a whirlpool bath in most rooms and the beds are comfortable. I can't speak to the breakfast since during covid, there was none but we were offered coupons to IHOP. It was great to sit in front of the fireplace while I read a book or watched TV. The pool was indoor and very nice (somewhat small) When Splash Lagoon closes at 7:00 pm the pool gets crowded so swim before that. Staff was great and helpful. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, pans, paper towels etc., I loved my stay and will definitely go back as soon as I can.

  It was awful! they will steal your money!

  The room was not clean at all, it was dirty rags still in the shower, the manager is no help she is not fit to be a manager! she does not help at all. The policy states that there is no early check in fee, but they took it anyway and when i asked about she said that i agreed to it so i was not getting my money back, her name is crystal however she refused to give me her last name for this purpose. this is not how things are done! And i will take it to the highest seat because this is not right! thanks

  Splash Lagoon

  We started our weekend very disappointed, due to our room not being up to our expectations. I have to say that Layah the evening manager on duty though saved our day along with Mike from the Holiday Inn. We arrived to our room and we had a few issues with the room, Layah didnt have any other rooms available to move us too, but worked with Mike at Holiday Inn to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you for doing your best to help make our weekend great.

  Disappointed.

  Hotel room was very dirty. Found a grape on the ground in the kitchen. Dishwasher had stuff all down the front and dripping on to the floor. The wall next to the bed had stuff dripping down it. Found a dirty baby bib in the couch. The dishwasher knob fell off. Its very old and outdated. The pictures made it look a lot nicer than it is. I would not stay again.

  Great stay while going to Splash Lagoon

  We stayed during February break week (President's Day week) in a 1 bedroom suite. The couch was big which allowed 2 of our kids to sleep on the pullout couch and another to sleep on the part of the couch that wasn't pulled out (it was more of a sectional). The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I was cold the first night so I ended up getting a blanket from the front desk. If you are going to Splash Lagoon you can't beat the location. We walked down the hall and we were inside. We would stay here again. I'm perplexed by some of the past bad reviews. This is a 3 star hotel so if you are looking for flaws you'll probably find something but what I care most about is cleanliness and our room was spotless and comfortable and ready when it was supposed to be.
