  Great staff!

  I stayed here over five months for work. The managers and front desk were extremely attentive and helpful. The housekeeping staff went out of their way to do whatever was needed to keep the room neat and clean. I would highly recommend staying here!

  Awful hotel with terrible staff

  The pet fee posted in Expedia showed $75. When I checked in, they said it was $150 and Expedia was wrong and they would not honor that price. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude about the whole thing so I contacted Expedia and Marriott to handle the discrepancy and neither one of them would. A different front desk employee allowed me to check out so I packed up the car. The manager then came back and said I was misinformed and ultimately charged me $398 plus a $150 pet fee for a room I never even stayed in. Marriotts only support is to talk to the hotel and has refused to offer any sort of refund. In addition, the room itself was extremely outdated with horrible office style lighting not to mention the rude staff. I highly recommend selecting a different hotel.

  Not a Terrible One Night Stay

  I was in Livonia on business trip and stayed at the Residence Inn one night. I got the one-bd suite, and it was ok. The closet could have used some cleaning, dust was accumulated on the shelves (where you put the hangers on). The bathroom amenities are Paul Mitchell brand, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash are in the refillable big bottles. I didnt mind because its an effort reducing little plastic bottles. There was no lotion though, wish there were. The front desk staff was friendly, and the free breakfast was good enough.

  Poor Quality

  Very disappointing experience for an experienced Marriott traveler. In the front desk, they do not provide coffee after morning and during breakfast they manage giving the coffee, cream and sugar. We went to the room, the dishes were still in the dish washer and not even cleaned. No frying pan, no paper towel, used sponge and stained couch. When we talked to front desk, they seemed annoyed at our concerns. We travel to Detroit, every other week and stay at various Marriott's. This was the worse experience, seems all of the issues are based on cost cutting but should not be to this level. Will never stay here again.

  Very disappointing

  Found things in each bedroom dresser drawer, hair in the bathtub, and mildew on the shower curtain liner. Very drab outdated living room decor with obvious stains, so we never used that area at all. We only sat in the dining vinyl chairs and use the table because we were able to clean it with our own wipes and cleaning materials we brought with us. In the morning while walking to the elevator, I saw filled trash bags in the hall near the elevator that emitted a very foul odor. We will NEVER stay here again! Expedia need to lower the rating for this site. Very disappointing!!
