  Simplemente perfecto

  Por problemas con booking.com nuestras habitaciones en el Hampton (justo al lado) no aparecían. Por ello, amablemente, nos recolocaron al mismo precio en Residente Inn Marriot y fue la mejor noche de aquel larguísimo viaje. Cama muy cómoda, amenidades de calidad, zona muy tranquila y desayuno incluido muy completo tanto para quien guste desayunar dulce o salado. Estuve en un Studio y veo que los precios rondan los $199. Los vale, sin lugar a dudas.

  Rude clerks and personnel

  It was by far my worst experience in all hotels. Very impolite clerks is even more prominent when you think of not being able to get a room while you have reserved a room with them in advance. Do not recommend it at all.

  Has really gone downhill.

  We have stayed here so many times for many years. It used to be a wonderful, clean place to stay. Great location and easy parking. Unfortunately this place is just a dump now. Absolutely filthy. You would think during a pandemic everything would be clean. The foyers from the garage are covered with dirt, all of the trash cans have been sitting full of trash with the overflow all over the ground for 3 days now. Our room is just terrible, the AC has always been bad in this room as we have complained to management before. We were told the whole section is bad. So, maybe fix it?! Our room floors, the desk chair and the couch are dirty with the couch being torn. We come to Des Moines all the time and are Marriott gold members. We will NOT stay here again. No masks on the front desk people either. I realize they must be a bit short handed but cleanliness during these times is a basic thing.

  DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS HOTEL

  My wife and I checked in on a Thursday afternoon and left the hotel for dinner with our daughter who goes to school in Des Monies. When we returned to our room my wife decided to shower for the night and was surprised to find that where was no hot water. We both managed to shower while telling each other we would ask for another room the next morning. The next morning the hot waster was working so we decided (really ignored) not to ask to change rooms. To our surprise when we returned that evening no hot water again. This time I went to the front desk to inquire as to the reason for no hot water. I was told it came back on after four days of being out in the morning and it must have gone out again. Imagine not being told when you check that there is no hot water.....this is exactly what happened. The gentleman at the desk said he couldn't do anything about it and the manager would be on duty from 11 PM to 7 AM and I should come speak with him. Really convenient times for the manager to be working. Luckily the water resolved itself before the end of our stay. (As and aside the gentleman on duty said it was an issue between management, owners, and the Marriott brand. In my opinion the hotel may be attempting to fall below Marriott standards and change their franchise affiliation.) When I checked out I was told that I would be given 25K points for my difficulties. No points yet. Thanks Marriott.

  Spacious Rooms for Families

  This hotel is near Wells Fargo Arena/HyVee Hall, convenient if your family is in town for an event. About a 10-15 minute walk to Arena. And walkable distance to restaurants. The rooms show some wear and tear, but are spacious and have a full kitchen with cook top, microwave, full size fridge and dishwasher. Our room had a king bed, large work area/desk, pull out sofa. There is a place to do laundry in the hotel. They did have warm items for breakfast as well as granola bars, muffins, yogurt. The man at the desk all if the days we were there was friendly and helpful, as was the woman working the breakfast area on the weekend. On the downside, the parking garage is $15 a night, is shared by another hotel, was full most of the nights, and one night we had to park on the top level (not covered). There was about 12" of snow that had not been cleared. Even with 4WD got stuck in the snow (hadn't snowed for a week or so). There were no lights in the part of the building where we entered from the parking garage to the elevator. Overall, a great place to stay with kids or a team, or lengthy business stay, if you're looking for ample space with the ability to eat meals in your room.
