  Close to power station

  Because of my health, Im very sensitive to certain power lines, some cell towers and power stations. Behind the hotel is a power station, therefore I did not sleep well. The hotel staff was really really nice. The rooms were very clean. The location is great.

  Not much around

  As with any Residence the hotel was clean and comfortable. There is breakfast and happy hour included. The hotel also seemed to be very pet friendly. The staff was so friendly and helpful as well. The only downside was that the hotel is really not close to any restaurants or even convenience stores. It was a 20 minute walk (which was OK) to any service. Just something to keep in mind when booking.

  Nice hotel with extra touches

  I would have given it a 5, but it missed a few things. Breakfast was good, but would have liked some healthier options. My room had a towel animal and chocolates, which was nice, but there were parts that really needed to be cleaned. I also gave it a 4 because i had really loud neighbors who kept me awake. Seems like they could have designed to not have the beds touch walls. Overall, seemed like a new hotel and the staff were really nice.

  Fleas in the room - commitment to clean?

  There are fleas in the room! My ankles got bitten all around and swollen, and when I checked the floors closely, there were plenty of them on a bathroom tile floor, kitchenette tile floor and few in bed (room 105). The rest of the room is dark carpet, I would think there is plenty of them there too. I was moved to another room and for some reason there was no hot water to take another shower. It was late night and all I could do just wait for daylight and leave. I'm not sure how serious this issue was taken, as morning receptionist seemed unaware of it. When I mentioned that, she apologized and gave me $5 discount...I do appreciate her attempt to make me feel better, but it actually made me think if this is the value of cleanness in the hotel. It is shocking and concerning; in my long and intense travelling history I never had fleas in the room, and what is worrying is that it happened at times when sanitizing and disinfecting is top priority for everyone, specially for public service places, and specifically for hotels, including Marriott, if you read their commitment to clean and safe. I asked when the room was last cleaned/sanitized and was told it is done before every guest's arrival. I honestly heavily doubt it. I would give it zero star as I will have to see a doctor because of terrible consequences, but I add 1 star just because the studio layout is good and hotel is conveniently located for a road trip night. I hope they will fix a problem and bring cleaning up to promised standards.

  Awesome location and property

  I am currently staying at this property and have been here nearly 3 weeks after relocating from Ohio. I selected this property because of the location. It is in a new area (very safe) just NE of 75 and 190. Transportation pros: It's ON 190 (Bush). I can exit the hotel and jump on 190 without waiting at a light, then I can go any direction very quickly. If I want to head east, there is a u-turn bypass to head east on 190. Again, no light. It's just ridiculously convenient to everything. If I wanted to, the Cityline stop on DART is just a minute away and it is a safe station. You can get all the way to DFW on the DART rail, FYI. Meals, food, and extras pros: Almost directly across the highway is Cityline. Whole Foods and tons of restaurant options. There is a massive city park right there with trails, as well. A couple of blocks behind is the super cute downtown Plano area with other excellent dining options. Obviously there are tons of retailers all over the area, so really you can stay quite close for anything you need. Accommodation pros: Clean and very functional room. I am on the end of the building, close to my car. I have the option to park outside or in the garage, which is nice in the unpredictable Texas winter. Great amenities, gym/pool. The gym is always available when I have wanted to use it. I have used the laundry throughout my stay, which is very convenient. I've grabbed free breakfast quite a few times. Good breakfast choices considering the pandemic, really. I make jewelry and have to ship stuff frequently, so access to a printer for shipping labels has been a blessing, as well. I wasn't sure how I would manage that during my stay. I prefer to clean my room myself and they have accommodated that request without any issues. The staff is very nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. Lastly, the property feels safe. I don't see random people hanging around anywhere and I have not noticed noise from other guests. I would highly recommend staying here for all these reasons, but I cannot express enough how nice it is to be able to get on the road so easily. Side roads can be congested in the Richardson/Plano area and the location of this hotel saves me about 15 minutes every morning as I head out.
