    Cancelled Before Deadline; Charged Anyway

    I booked a stay, but then decided to stay elsewhere. I cancelled before the deadline, but I was charged for a night anyway. Stay away. Even if you comply with Marriotts cancellation policies, this hotel may charge you anyway. I filed a case with corporate to get it resolved.

    Wonderful stay

    Love the two bedroom suite. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Staff was very nice especially front desk Cassidy. The managers, Will and Chris were very professional. Plan to return. Looking forward to Mix night.

    Clean rooms and friendly staff

    The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The amenities (workout room, pool) are open which is a plus. No hot breakfast, but they are serving frozen burritos, apples, and muffins. The hallways have the hint of the odor of mildew combined with marijuana, but the rooms do not have that odor.

    HORRIBLY, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

    I was dropped at Walmart, by a shuttle driver named David. There was another guest dropped off with me. We both told him to "Come back in 30 minutes." A little over that time, I called the girl at the front desk to let her know I was ready. She said she would send the driver. Since I was waiting, I grabbed a piece of fruit and got in the line to checkout. By the time I get to the door and see no one, the lady at Walmart informs me that a Marriot shuttle bus just left. I call Shacoria at the front desk again, who calls David who says he's on his way to the hotel WITH THE OTHER LADY, the one who was dropped off WITH ME. Shacoria says she told him to turn back around to get me and he says he's just going to come to the hotel and drop off the other guest, turn BACK around and get me! As infuriating as this was IT NEVER HAPPENED. I went back and forth with the front desk lady who intially said that David dropped off the female guest and turned around to get me (Walmart). He never comes, Im calling back and forth with Shacoria who said David was putting her on hold and/or hanging up on her. After an hour, I had to call Marriot Corporate who magically got David to appear! I made a complaint with Marriot. Will, the general manager was there the next morning. He never called room or asked to meet with me or anything, given the situation. Instead, he was horribly rude, AND combative. I had been at this property for THREE DAYS! He offered no resolution or compensation. Instead he made up lies, claiming that staff said I was rude and name calling! This was hus excuse for not extending my stay (which I would never have done ANYWAYS, after this bad treatment)! If I had been that rude, it's funny how they had already extended my reservation and were going to extend it another day. I had told Shacoria I would let her know by the time I came back from Walmart and BOY am I glad I waited!!!! The front desk lady had already told me she was worried about her job since Marriott called and questioned her. The front desk manager, Chris, had only one interaction with me the day before when he discounted my room since a deposit "appeared" on my bank statement, even though Shacoria promised me before I ever checked into Residence Inn, that there would not be one. Even after Chris claimed the computer must have done it, and Shacoria said that didn't even sound right nor make sense! I even handled THAT well! So I'm trying to figure out at which point I was rude to staff? Was it when I first checked in and I was supposedly put in a quiet area of the hotel, but when I came back from running errands, two ladies were arguing right in front of my door. No, I didn't even trip out then. I was moved and everything was fine. The general manager was far less than what any manager should be. He came up with a quick excuse not to compensate me for the horrible, left stranded incident. He was rude, unscrupulous, unprofessional, unappreciative......Just a few words that come to mind. It's also important to note that when the manager from Marriott called the front desk to find out where in the world David (the driver) was, the airport was mentioned. Yet, David somehow got to me in far less than ten minutes. The airport was NEVER mentioned in my back and forth with Shacoria trying to figure out where the driver was. So, rudeness and lies. Trying to cover their own tracks. No concern for the customer WHATSOEVER! Worst experience ever! Will never happen again! Save yourselves!

    Super convenient and clean

    Just stayed one night before leaving on vacation but it was a great place to stay. Super convenient to the airport. Comfy bed and very clean! We will definitely stay here again the next time we are going on a trip!
