Good LocationWe spent our work week lodging here mid January. Hotel had friendly staff with clean suites. Kitchenettes with king size bed. Utilized the exercise room and computer. Free breakfast & parking. Close to numerous nearby restaurants, bars, and shopping. PF Changs, BJ's, the Keg, Pluckers, ACM movies, Cheesecake Factory, just to name a few. Located off I-20 and 15 minutes away from Six Flags. Easy access to Ft Worth (35W) or 35E to Dallas. I'd recommend a stay.

Very clean hotel, and friendly staff. This hotel has very friendly and courteous staff, and is very clean. The breakfast included with the room is delicious Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, and fruit. The staff kept it hot and ready. The units have full kitchens. But you can also walk to several restaurants, including A Saltgrass Steakhouse, and theres a shopping mall almost next door. The paint was peeling on the bathroom door, which is why I didnt rate the hotel a five star. But this was minor. The bedroom is a little small. We had to leave our suitcases in the living room. I left my travel blanket in the sheets, and the housekeeping staff saved it for me until we could come back to pick it up. They even offered to mail it back to me. I definitely recommend this hotel for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and location!

Bed Bugs!Last minute business trip and I had to take my dogs so I understand they would not give me the nicest room, but the one they gave me was filthy. The floors, the walls, and the couch were disgusting. Then when I'm getting ready to leave the next morning I noticed a bed bug crawling across my bathroom floor so I hurriedly checked my luggage and got out. I saved the bug in an empty water bottle and took it to the front desk. I assumed I would get a phone call or at least an email from management but nothing.

NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLYWe booked this hotel because it was near the hospital where my hubby was to have heart surgery. At first glance, it was great. There were all of the utilities needed to keep from having to eat out while staying there and everything appeared spotless. Unfortunately, first impressions are often wrong. To be fair, I want to give some positive points, before tearing into them: 1) The staff - everyone was friendly, helpful and courteous. 2) The breakfast - while no hotel can do a breakfast buffet right now, at least I didn't feel like I was getting a horse-style food bag. You get to choose your items from a pretty decent selection. While I would love to have seen some healthier alternatives (unsweetened oatmeal, more fruit), I think the hotel's selection was very good considering the limited ways things can be done. 3) The area is well located for many hospitals, shopping malls, restaurants, etc. I also walked every day and never felt in danger. While the whole area is really not set up to be walker-friendly, there were enough areas where you could find an alternative if a sidewalk wasn't available. 4) The gym has enough choices if you don't want to go outside. Now, the reason for my blast: We had come here for hubby's heart surgery at Medical City. He's also a below-the-knee amputee and must have a shower seat and handicap support bars in the bathroom. This room had all of these. Unfortunately, on the 7th night of our stay, the same day as hubby's heart surgery (he was allowed to check out the same day), he told me that a slat in the middle of the handicap seat had broken. For the record, hubby is NOT obese nor overweight, so it's not a case of too much hubby on too little seat. I immediately reported this to the receptionist the next day. No one came. The next day, hubby showed me where cracks were now going up the wall and that the seat was pulling away from the wall. I again reported it to the receptionist and her eyes grew big like she had either forgotten or was shocked that it hadn't been fixed. NO ONE CAME. The THIRD morning, we were checking out and I again reported it, this time to a young guy. Obviously, I can't say whether it was fixed, but TWO DAYS passed when a situation went from bad to dangerous because no one bothered to fix a broken seat. Imagine if that was you sitting on that seat, only to find that it was prayer that kept it from coming out of the wall. Cons: 1) The staff - for the above situation, someone dropped the ball on maintenance. Was it the receptionist's failure for not reporting a serious problem or maintenance for not responding? 2) Paid parking. It's not like you have a choice. Either you pay them or you're screwed. Does the hotel really need an extra $7/night that badly? Why not just add it to the charge and make it seem like it's free? 3) Bugs coming out of the shower drain. 4) The heating/air unit was noisy and blew cold air out of a vented door. The room was comfortable, but it was a really strange set-up.

In town for Big XII Championship GameThis hotel is in need for some modifications and could use more hotel staff for checkout on weekends. During the hours of 8am-12pm on weekends having staff pull double duty doing front desk and kitchen is not going to work. I waited 10 plus minutes until I got someone at the front desk to check me out. Then upon loading my bags in my POV a current resident informed me that his Catalytic Converter was cut from his truck while he has been a resident at this location. I looked underneath his truck that was parked in an handicap spot by the door entry and it indeed was cut and sawed off. I asked about security and cameras and he replied There are no cameras nor on site roving security. This is undoubtedly one of the most unsafe places I have stayed based upon my observations. Upgrade hotel and get some hotel security and cameras mounted. I am a Disabled Veteran and the gentleman truck vehicle that was stripped of his Catalytic Converter was an Disabled Veteran as well. Luckily, he informed me of what happened during checkout so I would not be subjected to the same fate. Come on Marriot, get this fixed!!!!! Lastly, had to call front desk by cell phone because no phones in room worked. I am Titanium Platinum member and this was not good. PERIOD!!! A large truck parked by front door entrance and gets a Converter removed and nobody sees it???
