In disrepairThere was a hole all the way through to the bare floor in the carpet. It was dirty and we felt like we couldnt walk barefoot on the carpet. The shower didnt work properly and there was mold. The people who worked there were lovely though. I was not going to complain, but my son left his coat in the room and they wanted almost $30 to ship it within the same state. We stay in Marriott hotels monthly and that was ridiculous after paying to stay in such a crummy room. When I called the hotel the person I spoke with was great. All I wanted was to get the coat shipped at a reasonable rate. She said shed comp our room after I told her how bad it had been. I did not even ask her to do this. So we sucked it up and paid the ridiculous charge to ship the coat since we were getting the cost of the room back. Its now been almost a month and they still have not refunded the room, plus we paid $29 for my sons lightweight coat to ship from Hampton to Warrenton VA. My husbands called and theyve said were getting the refund still, but nothing has happened. Very disappointed in their brand.

Dirty, with bugs.I'm down here for work. I understand it during the Covid 19 outbreak. The hotel needs to be remodeled. I'm paying full government per diem, but they only clean the room once a week. Also no breakfast. I've also talked to management about bugs I continue to see in my room. Also last morning at 330 am there was a knock down fight in the hallway that the police had to break up. I've stayed at a lot of residence inns this is the worse. To sum it up dirty, bugs, police broken up fights, no service.

Disappoining VisitWe stayed a the Residence Inn on 5/15/20. We thought there would be more precautions taken as a result of COVID-19. We expected Marriott to be folliwing CDC guidelines even if the state of Virginia was not. Most staff members were not wearing masks. We received information from Marriott prior to our stay informing us that additional cleaning would be done and cleaning products would be in all rooms. We had no cleaning products. Our room was not clean. Tables were dirty. The room was noisy because it faced the interstate. We had traffic noise all night because the windows did not reduce the outside noise. A cabinet was missing a knob. The shower did not have hit water. When we checked out and returned the key, the front desk person was more interested in flirting with someone in the lobby than asking about our stay. We will never stay here again!

Disappointed!!!!!The worst Marriott chain hotel we have ever stayed at. Where to even start....The business center, pool and fitness all are closed. The grab and go breakfast is pitiful. A muffin if you get down there in time to grab one, and a yogurt or croissant. Went down at 7:30 each morning and no coffee anywhere in sight. Not even water offered. Apparently there is clean towel/ linen shortage here. The bedroom didnt even have a light. We had to call and have them bring one( supposed to be lamps on the nightstand.) Black stains on the carpet. Black duct tape holding the rubber edge around the laminate. Black stuff coming out of vents. Peeling bubbling paint on ceiling above beds. Chipped, scuffed paint on walls along with greasy dirty handprints on walls and doors. Stained wrinkly shower curtain. Shower rod falling off wall. The list goes on but Ill leave it at that.

Disappointed in this MarriottI am a Marriott gold member so I stay at a lot of Marriott properties. This one does not meet the normal standards. My family stayed here for one night while in the area. I paid extra for a room with a separate bedroom since I was traveling with my infant son. That was we could put him down in the other room earlier and still have our own space. Upon check in, the front desk associate had her mask pulled down around her chin while checking us in. I informed her I requested a crib upon arrival and she said she would have one sent up. We get to our room and it is just not in good repair for a Marriott. It looks like they put lipstick on a pig in this situation. I am not sure when this property was last updated but some areas looked better than other. The cabinets and furniture in the room were all beat up badly. The cabinets in the kitchen didn't open or close correctly. The long cushion on the chaise of the couch had a substantial tear in it. The carpet was also dirty. I found someones used carmex container kicked under the dining table. Especially in this day and age when traveling I am looking for cleanliness and certainly did not find that here. We had been in the room for about two hours when we still didn't have the crib. I walked back down to the front desk and the same front desk associate with her mask around her chin still had forgotten to call. Okay fine. She called and it arrived in about 15 minutes. was about 6 pm. Our night goes on and we put the baby down in the bedroom and were sitting down on the couch watching TV at around 9 pm when the room phone rang. Mind you the room phone was in the bedroom where my sleeping baby was. It was the front desk associate making sure that the crib had been brought up. Usually that would be thoughtful for the front desk to call and check in but not at 9 pm when you're traveling with a baby. We also got a very unpleasant burning smell when we kicked the heat on. I'm not sure why this was. We stayed in February. The heat shouldn't still be burning off dust. There are a lot of Marriott hotels in the area. I would not stay here again. I feel like I threw away $120 staying here for one night. I've stayed at a lot better Marriott properties for less.
