    Terrible customer service

    The room is nice, so this is the only positive part of this review. The guy working the desk was rude. When reserving the room it did not say there was a $100 fee for a pet. There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee and $200 fee for incidentals which is ridiculous to check in for 8 hours before a flight. To walk in the hotel there was a guy smoking, so the lobby was filled with smoke. Just got to the hotel and already the experience is horrible. I tried to cancel, but there was not a number available and it would have cost more to cancel. Do not go to this hotel.

    Rude general manager

    This review is in regards to the general manager. I am a travel nurse, stayed for business. I dropped my laundry to the front desk only to come down to learn they did not have my laundry. I spoke with the manager, he said he checked video, asked employees and the evidence did support my claim of dropping anything off! He said they havent sent out laundry since covid. I notified corporate they could not help me. Why would I lie? There is obviously more interactions. In the end this manager basically called me a liar for a lose of maybe $200 worth of scrubs and under garments.

    A perfect ending

    After being away from home for a week to celebrate Mom's 100th birthday we spent our last night half way home at Residence Inn in Bloomington, Illinois. What a lovely way to end such a memorable trip. We were welcomed by Chase and Keaton who couldn't have been nicer snd more accommodating. We were so worried about staying in a hotel during this pandemic but no worries here. They took all the steps to keep us safe. The next morning all breakfast items were wrapped separately and Allysann was so friendly and helpful. Thank you all for such a lovely experience during these worrisome times.

    Bodily Fluids EVERYWHERE

    We attempted to stay in a 1 bedroom suite for Valentine's Day weekend and our anniversary. We booked though Expedia (which ended up being a blessing) about a month in advance. We show up, go into the room, and EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN BODILY FLUIDS (they won't let me use the anatomically correct version that sounds like a man at sea or else my review can't be published?)! There are smears on the dark wood furniture, splotches all over the dark couch, LOWER BODY CHEEK PRINTS (again, I can't tell you which part or the review is too explicit....kind of like the room) IN FLUID on chairs...yeah, EVERYWHERE. Naturally, we call the desk...Nick, from the front desk, came down to the room to see the "mess" for himself and commented a few times that he, too, thought it was disgusting. He then went to "look into" getting us another room. He comes back to inform us that, because we booked with Expedia, he can't switch our room (???) We then realize that the room we were put in isn't even the room we paid for. They put us in a King STUDIO suite instead of the 1 bedroom King Suite with a fireplace that we had paid for. Luckily we had printed out confirmation page off showing the room we had booked. So, we go down to show Nick the receipt so that we can be moved into the room we paid for and escape the fluid soaked surfaces. We get to the desk, wait for Nick to become available and then explain that we were out into the wrong room. He agrees that the Super Soaked Studio is, in fact, a studio. At that point, we produce our receipt and show that we didnt book a studio, we paid the higher price for the 1 bedroom. He agreed after looking at our receipt that we were not in the correct room, and wanted to call his manager to "Hopefully get us out in the room we paid for..." Uhhhh, hopefully??? So, Nick calls the room (mind you, we still have not sat down in this room and it's been an hour...) To tell us that, "Unfortunately, because we booked through Expedia, there is nothing he can do because THEY put the wrong room in their system." (mind you, the receipt we produced was from Expedia). Unacceptable. I told him he needed to refund our card and we were leaving...only Nick trust to tell us that we're going to still be charged for the two nights and there is nothing he can do...we have to remain in the downgraded, semen filled room even though we paid for a more expensive room. So, I contact Expedia directly. Expedia then contacted the hotel while I was on hold after hearing the mistake was blamed on them. Turns out, Nick and his manager are liar liars with pants most certainly on fire and what REALLY happened was that they overbooked the hotel. Not having the right room for us, Nick put us in a downgraded suite (which had apparently not even been cleaned properly...in years) hoping we wouldn't notice the missing bedroom, fireplace, or other extra amenities...like clean furniture and linens. There wasn't another suite in the hotel that they could put us in. Luckily, Expedia cancelled for us after contacting the hotel, we were refunded, and Expedia even gave us a credit to use somewhere else since the whole thing took over 2 hours to resolve, through no help of the hotel. So, if you dig other people's bodily fluids as artwork, by all means, check this place out. Otherwise, I'd stay away from this hotel and any others in the chain if these are their customer service standards.

    The most embarrassing, unpleasant and outrageous service I have ever experienced from Marriott in my entire li

    To whom it may concern : I made a reservation at the above Hotel for 14 days stay. I checked in 02/26/2021 and received an unpleasant welcome from the front desk by the name "Allysann". Unbothered by her demeanor, I settled in my room, today 02/27/2021 I heard a knock on my door about a smoking complaint from "my room" that I obviously wasn't smoking in. Was I surprised? No. She claimed the smell was from my room without any proof so her I asked her to walk in and check, she did but was still bent on her claim and asked that I vacate the room/hotel premises in an hour. Literally without no proof but a smell only she can perceive. I have stayed at several, uncountable Marriotts hotels in the past 10 years without a single complaint neither have I ever experienced any embarrassment like this. Not only did she ask me to leave within the next hour, but she also mentioned I will be charged $200 for "smoking "in the room and will also be charge for the of 02/27/2021 that I didn't sleep in. To avoid unecessary drama, I decided to pack my bags and leave, barely 5 mins into my packing I heard another bang on my door, lo and behold it was 2 police officers standing right at my door. Basically there to enforce my removal from the hotel for no unjust reason. Not only was ejected from the hotel, I am being charged $200 for an unconfirmed violation claims, as if that wasn't enough, I am also being charged for an extra night that I didn't sleep in the hotel. This is the most embarrassing, unpleasant and outrageous service I have ever experienced from Marriott in my entire life. I recorded all the activities and intend to share it on my social media so others know not to visit that location and quite frankly believe the hotel staffs are being racist, the location definitely speaks a lot of volume. All of their accusations are 0% baseless. If you are a person of color, I'd say to think twice before staying at this hotel
