  Items stolen from room

  I am a Marriott titanium member, love Marriott properties, and always brag and convince friends, family and colleagues to stay at Marriotts, but this one is terrible. I brought my family down for the holiday, 4 rooms, and we have one of our rooms broken into. Its not so much the breaking in and items and medications stolen, though that is creepy and disturbing, it was the managements lack of sincere caring about the event. We even called the police, they were more concerned then the staff. If you choose to stay at this property use a nanny cam in your room. Or choose a different Marriott property.

  Great stay

  After having a terrible experience with Hampton Inn in this area, we went two doors down to the Marriott and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!! Upon arriving, we spoke with a woman at the front desk and they were experiencing technical difficulties and said she would be able to look for us, but it would be about half an hour. We were okay with that and were going to go find something to eat; however, she was able to get the everything back up and going. She found us a one bedroom suite that was available and made checking in such a smooth process. We checked in and were pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. It was SUPER clean and SUPER nice. Clean really doesnt do it justice, because there was not one thing I could complain about. We rested up wonderfully and the room was so comfortable. Id give this place 5 stars over and over again. Any time Im back in the area, I know this is the place I will be staying!

  Would come again

  Stayed here for a night passing through Birmingham. Quick access off the interstate. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Due to Covid, breakfast was modified to bacon/egg croissants and other small things to take back to your room. Didn't wow me, but it was exactly what I was looking for. As the title states, I would stay here again.

  Not to our expectations!

  We stopped here on our way home from Florida after terrible traffic made our planned overnight stay in Tupelo, MS, too far of a drive. I wanted a Marriott bed for the night because we wanted comfort and we needed space for our family of 5. From the moment we walked in the building, we could tell it was outdated. The room stunk, the floor was sticky, the oven was very dirty. The silverware was cleaned, but not sanitized. The carpet was not clean and the tub was stained. My husband came back from getting the last of our bags, and I hesitantly told him that I could not stay there. It was nearly 10:00pm, you should have seen his face! We ended up at a Hilton Home2 Suites in downtown Birmingham that exceeded our expectations. Ill never stay at a Marriott again.

  Great weekend

  Stayed here in a two bedroom suite with my daughter's family as we visited her son (my grandson) as a freshman in college near there. The place worked out perfectly. It was clean and although seemed older, was well maintained. The staff was terrific. They were friendly, very helpful and efficient. It seems to be following all the CDC recommendations for Covid. While many place that normally have breakfast have practically nothing, I was surprised to see warm sausage/egg/cheese biscuits indivually packaged along with coffee, juices, milk, cerial, muffins, snacks, fresh fruit, yougart, and a few other things. Is convenient to I-65 and has several restaurants down the street.
