Great location; rooms and beds were great; HVAC was awful; staff throughout were indifferentGreat location for Johns Hopkins and the rooms really are attractive. However, the HVAC would not cool (others have commented below with similar issues) and the staff did not have that Marriott service attitude (housekeeping leaving carts dead center when they see you coming (multiple times); front desk completely indifferent to giving a key to a room that was not ready when it takes quite a while to use the elevator due to covid). Will stay again because of the convenience, but will set my expectations much lower.

OutstandingI booked this hotel for its proximity to Johns Hopkins and did not expect anything but the basics. Boy was I wrong! The rooms are well appointed, spotless and the beds are divine. However it is the front staff that make this hotel a five star hotel. They are professional, courteous and completely compassionate to accommodate those of us facing difficult surgeries. Austin, Emily and Aisha you are a credit to Marriott!

Noisy from BarThey have an outdoor bar/club downstairs which blasts music on certain weekdays and weekends all the way up until midnight making it impossible to get some peace and quiet to sleep. How do they expect hotel guests to enjoy their stay when the outdoor bar is blasting bad music up until midnight?

Worst Ever Marriott ExperienceI decided to write this review as I sit here at 10:45pm listening to music blasting from the rooftop bar several floors above me. My 1 yo. daughter has to report for surgery tomorrow morning at 5:30am at Johns Hopkins. I mistakenly thought the Residence Inn Johns Hopkins that offers a Johns Hopkins Parent Rate package might be a good, convenient place for us to get a quiet nights rest. Boy was I wrong... This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott property. I will never stay at this property again and recommend you dont either.

Over all, a great staySoooo close to 5 stars, I wanted to but couldn't for a few small reasons. First the good. The welcoming, professionalism and efficiency by the front desk ( Terry?) on Sunday 3.7 was fantastic. Great start. Entering our room, fantastic. Nice ambience, appearance of "readiness" fantastic. The room was good size, nicely appointed and all the amenities we needed. TV was good size and a smart tv, able to watch NetFlix. There was a "vanity" area before entering the bathroom which was good in size and clean, and best of all, no shower curtain! I despise hotel shower curtains, for the most part. They're like the back of the bathroom door, seldom clean. The shower was walk-in with the half by the shower head being a glass wall so no need for a curtain. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too soft for my preference. The bad, when going up to the room , a staff member got on the elevator with us which I found odd during covid, In the "living room" section of the room the sofa cushions were stained, on both sides. I always wonder why hotels to use covers that can be washed instead of having stained furniture. Makes you wonder what you're sitting on.... The other issue, is parking. The hotel offers valet parking in an open lot next to the hotel for $32/night. Because we were leaving the hotel as soon as we checked in and unpacked, we parked in the garage and then because the garage is covered and more secure we parked there overnight and we're charged only $13. All in, a great stay.
