  A hidden gem

  I cannot say enough great things about this property. I have stayed there many times and Bakari Phillips and his staff are wonderful! They always remember me even if many months pass since my last trip. That is amazing Customer Service ! I look forward to my next visit ! Thank You so much.

  Great Location!

  Great location just right in Midtown and is near my workplace. The room is neat and the service is good. The hotel looks rustic and the room too! The bathroom is bigger than the kitchen which kind of weird to me.

  Good service and late checkout

  So my flight ended up getting really delayed and I arrived to the hotel 5am and was only planning 1 night at this property, so I asked for a late checkout for 6pm and to my surprise and delight they gave it to me. I've noticed hotels are really clawing back on giving late checkout and you usually have to beg on your hands and knees to get 4pm, when they aren't even sold out the next night. So I was quite happy when they gave me a late checkout without blinking an eye. For that reason I'd happy give this property 5 stars!

  Hotel needs maintenance...

  The hotel itself is located at a portion of Midtown in Atlanta, GA that is a prime location; however, the facilities could use some updating. The hotel itself seems like it missed the gentrification that has struck the rest of the area. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating, nice, and helpful with any questions, and there was free breakfast, however, my room had issues. 1) There was no cold water in the shower; this is an unusual problem but it basically made the shower useless as the water would heat to scalding after 2 minutes making it impossible to use the shower. 2) There was mold on the shower curtain. Other than those issues, the hotel had serviceable coin laundry, a gym (that I didn't have time to use), and was located in Midtown, which are all pluses. However, given the age of the building and the other hotel options in the area, it would definitely not be a top choice, even if you saved a few bucks per night.

  Historic looking building

  I was completely disappointed with this hotel and staff. We do a lot of traveling and hold a Titanium Elite status with Marriott, that being said we have stay at A LOT of hotels and they happen to almost always be a Marriott property. We stayed here our first night in from Los Angles, one night here before heading out to Alabama. This hotel is a great location, no doubt. Very easy to walk to different restaurants and bars. At check in the front desk was awesome, hit all the standard welcome ques for status holders, made us feel welcomed. I had an issue with the overnight staff at the desk tho, she was rude in general and really lacked any professionalism. Fast forward to the morning of check out: we're from SoCal and this is 18 hours after we arrived in ATL. (just slightly jet lagged) at 11 AM tell me why, with Titanium status AND Confirmed Late Check Out we have hotel staff banging on our door, AND THEN OPEN the door and yell at us that we have 10 minutes to get our things and get out of the room.... I'm writing this review 2 months later and I'm still astounded by this. Anyways, because of the location and price point I would recommend this hotel. I also want to note I didn't formally complain to Marriott, I won't disclose the date or staff and the individual apologized for the morning mix up- but that doesn't in anyway make it OK.
