  Perfect Downtown Location

  Nicolette and other front desk staff helped make my post travel self imposed quarantine so comfortable! I'm still amazed that the front desk staff remembered my name and addressed me with a warm welcome every time I entered and exited the property. The hotel location was perfect for easy access to Main Street Ann Arbor. My room was super quiet, which made for a productive (working) stay while sheltering in place. Looking forward to my next visit sometime down the line.

  This is a great hotel, the rooms are huge and the staff was great, especially Nicolette. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ann Arbor. As a plus the sell beer at the counter...

  Great place, great location, great staff

  Stayed with my mom and sisters for a girls weekend. Rooms are nice size, the hotel is very clean and it a great location for all the downtown activities. Tyrone was more than accommodating with what we needed, and just a wonderful all-around person. Instead of the breakfast buffet, you order off a menu the evening before and they have your boxed breakfast ready for you in the more. That was the only downfall - do not order the pork & egg sandwich (rubbery egg & meat was awful) , order the turkey & egg white instead. I would definitely stay here again.

  Simply Couldnt Be Better!

  We simply do not have enough superlatives to use for this property, generally, and for our new favorite Marriott employee, Tyrone! As someone who travels a great deal for work and is brand-loyal (with high expectations), I was blown away at the unwavering friendliness and welcoming of Front Desk Supervisor, Tyrone. Even before my family and I traveled to Ann Arbor (to celebrate our daughters acceptance to UMich), Tyrone was just unbelievably helpful over the phone. Aside from assisting with my reservation, he suggested spots for meals and places we had to see (we had never been to AA). I hung up the phone after my first encounter with Tyrone and told my wife how amazing he was. When we arrived in AA, following a 8.5 hour drive, Tyrone was at the front desk and greeted our entire family as if he had knows us for years. Throughout our stay, Tyrone warmly greeted each of us and helped with more suggestions for food, activity and even for coffee. Each of his recommendations were spot on! After this experience, I look forward to at least 4 more years of stays at this property! Michael Cohen

  THANK YOU TYRONE!!! (And Wendy and Morgan And David, And...)

  I've been blessed to stay in some of the finest hotels in the world, some with phenomenal service. I have to say that the staff at the Residence Inn, Downtown Ann Arbor is the equal to any I have encountered. We came to Ann Arbor for my wife to have a medical procedure at the University of Michigan. The hotel became our home, and the staff treated us like family. Tyrone in particular always had a kind word or a joke when we passed through the lobby, but everyone else was just as nice. The rooms are large; we moved to the very comfortable two bedroom suite once it became available, which lacks only a washer-dryer (there is one on the main floor) or it would be a full-fledged apartment in its own right. If you are in town for anything happening downtown, or for something going on at the UofM hospital, THIS is the place to say. Trust me!
