  Rundown Residence Inn Amarillo TX

  I have been stopping here for many years and this trip is perhaps the last time we stay here on our way to Austin from Denver. This is by far the worst Marriott room i have ever stayed in to date! I have been a rewards member for decades and I hope this isn't a sign of the times!

  DONT DO IT

  Do i really even have to rate this? Does not deserve it. Wow, this was the worst stay i have ever had at a residence inn. The staff werent wearing masks at all and were super lax about COVID. The staff were some sketchy young adults who werent very professional unfortunately. But honestly, it is what it is with the staff. But then the room!! Jesus save us. It was obviously not cleaned at all, totally poorly taken care of. Long hairs in the bed, it even looked like they just slapped the cover on the bed and the pillows and left it after the people before stayed. Weird cat litter looking s*** on the floor...counters were obviously not wiped down at all. I honestly felt like i could have caught COVID just standing in that room to be honest. Just dont do it! Dont stay here its a waste, keep driving somewhere else. Go to the townesuites down the road instead or something! Just dont stay here especially with a whole pandemic going on. They obviously could care less there. Just terrible.

  THANK YOU, AMBER AND LORRIE...!!!

  Our 3rd visit here and we love it each and every time. But this trip, the real bonus was a truly Texas-friendly welcome from charming Amber. She was especially kind enough to keep tabs on a room opening us for in time with our afternoon arrival. GM Lorrie gave us the Bonvoy Titanium treatment with an upgrade to the 2-Bedroom/2-Bath Suite, with windows that open for a breeze, 2 bath tubs and an ice-maker in the freezer that really works. The fitness room is snug but its got machines, free weights, a water dispenser and a scale. Breakfast is Grab n Go but with little milk cartons, yogurts, string cheese, protein bars and serve-yourself coffee for the 6 a.m. breakfast call.   Pretty beat up & dirty

  Im a bonvoy titanium member & this was the only property available last night (residence inn west). There are others that have better reviews - but were sold out. This one was pretty beat up, stinky, uncomfortable beds. Dirty. Things left from other guests. No upgrade - trash everywhere on property. Choose another hotel

  Book early and stay somewhere else.

  Hotel is old and in bad shape. Decor may be newer, but its not in good shape. Holes in the ceiling in lobby and water damage in our room. Book earlier if traveling through at Spring Break and find a better place to stay. Pull out bed is very uncomfortable.
