Good StayThe hotel is located near the interstate. The check in was quick and easy. The front desk clerk was nice. She explained how the free breakfast program worked at this time and gave me my key. The room was clean and well stocked. The noise level was very low. I was a little worried about the location because it appeared to me that there might be a lot of long term people staying. Cars in the parking lot were old and several sketchy people were hanging out in the parking lot. Upon my return from dinner those people had left and were no longer hanging out in the parking lot. Breakfast was very simple the next morning. There was a sheet to order off and the breakfast clerk made my meal to go. The food was good. Other than the area this hotel is located it is definitely worth staying at in the future.

Expensive Dog feeWe arrived after a long day of driving and the front desk person was very nice. I was unpleasantly surprised when she told me there was a $100 fee that was going to be charged to my credit card because we had a dog with us. $46 of it would be refunded to us if our dog didn't do any damage so the net dog fee is $54 for a one night stay. We selected this hotel because it was dog friendly and I specifically mentioned we had a dog traveling with us when I booked it and no one mentioned a "dog fee." The night before, we stayed at an A-Loft in Wichita that was also dog friendly and had no pet fee. The hotel room was clean and in good order. However, around 11:00pm, the person in the room above us must have just come in and we very clearly heard every move he made which woke us up and it was impossible to get back to sleep until he went to bed. Also, there is a lot of interstate noise as this hotel is very close to the interstate. All in all, if I were to come through Albuquerque again, I would look for a different dog friendly hotel

Residence to the rescue! We booked this hotel after cancelling the 2nd night at another Marriott hotel in Albuquerque that was a nightmare ( but, that's another story). After leaving the first hotel we had the...how do you say...."hibbee gibbees" LOL. We wanted a shower, a place to burn our clothes, and a place to wash our bedding. All except for having a place to burn our clothes, we were EXTREMELY ( EXTREMALMENTE) happy with this hotel. We were on a trip and only reserved rooms in Marriott hotels because of their "supposed" consistent standards. For the most part the standard of cleanliness and hospitality was consistent and that is to include this wonderful hotel. I can walk into a room, walk straight to the bathroom and tell whether the staff took care to do their jobs conscientiously. I appreciate when they do and try to reward them one way or another. The suite we were given was clean and felt like home. I've heard people say they hate staying in hotels and I can only imagine that is because they chose the wrong one or was stuck because of their budget, which happens. Hotels such as this Residence Inn will definitely change their minds. We were so relaxed here after a long drive. We slept like baby kittens. To conclude fellow travellers, I'll let the pictures do the talking. If you can help it stay home. If you must travel, stay safe.
