  Beautiful views, nice rooms with kitchenette, steep uphill stroll to restaurants & shops

  Lovely pool with beautiful views. Rooms have bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen/lounge with sofa bed. Outside there is a patio area with some shade with brick BBQs you can use. Then steps down to pool area. We had ground floor room, with direct access to patio. Short but steep uphill walk to village for shops, bars, and restaurants. Parking available. The village is full of old very narrow streets and walkways. You can walk up past the church and climb the rock to get panoramic views all round.

  we arrived after a long drive from pisa the last part in a thunderstorm.location wise it is fantastic with fantastic views and atmospheric medieval village.the appts are mediocre at best no balcony which I thought we might have considering we were staying 2 weeks.The kitchen lacked a kettle so had to boil water in a pan to make a drink.The pool area is very nice but the sunbeds could do with mattresses on them as they are very uncomfortable.At night every night disturbed by the local youths hanging out until midnight motor bikes going up and down the street until late so didnt get much sleep.The restaurants are a bit hit and miss depends what you like to eat and not cheap.overall a fascinating place and a real tuscan experience

  Maravilloso con vistas excepcionales en un entorno unico

  Para conocer un lugar escondido en plena toscana. El pueblo merece la pena. Coqueto, tranquilo, bien conservado con vistas infinitas hasta el mar. El residence es una maravilla. Silencioso y dentro del pueblo. Los apartamentos en perfecto estado, bien equipados, limpios, coquetos y la piscina una gozada. Con barbacoas en el jardín para poder hacer una buena Fiorentina El servicio excelente, amables y disponibles para todo. Repetiria

  Very good accomodation, brilliantly located for walking to several excellent restaurants.

  We have visited Il Ciliegio several times now. It is located in Roccatederighi, a rather sleep town away from the hustle and bustle of much of the Tuscan tourism yet you can easily tour many interesting locations from here. The town itself has a few shops for food etc including a terrific green grocers, butchers and local speciality shops. There is also a small coop. The town has two or three very good restaurants and an excellent pizzeria. They are all within 3-4 minutes walk from the accommodation. The accommodation is in a large converted manor house sitting just outside the old town on the slopes of the hills. This gives the rooms and especially the outside areas phenomenal vistas stretching to the coast. There is a terrace seating area with BBQ facilities which is lovely to sit and enjoy a lunch or drink. The pool is lovely and tranquil, with the back drop to the town providing interesting local interludes! The town does put the pool area into the shade around 6 pm but that is a good time to head for a shower and evening meal. Our room was on the first floor and was essentially a studio flat. It was decorated in a traditional style in keeping with the property and it was spotless clean. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, sufficient for a simple evening meal although we always eat out. There are all the basic utensils and coffee pot etc. There is not AC but the building has thick walls which are very effective in controlling the temperature. The bathroom is well furnished, spotless and towels provided. We slept well every night and whilst you are woken occasionally by cockerels are farm dogs it is part of the rural setting. In all the accommodation is clean and pleasant, the pool area has beautiful views and the location is perfect for walking out to an evening meal. We will undoubtedly be back.
