  Excellent. Kept up with expectations

  We stayed one week and didn't really move. We have two kids (4 and 1) and really had no desire to travel around the island. We just wanted sun and relaxation. The resort is well laid out and is great as its not too big like other resorts where you and the kids can get lost easily. The bay with its beach is fantastic and the water was very clear. The pools are great too and the small indoor part of the kids pool (big enough for adults too) is great as there is a part which goes inside making bathing when colder or windier a lot easier. we took breakfast and dinner included which worked really well for us. Breakfast food is great. The hot food chef regular is fantastic (whereas the chubbier substitute looked unhappy to be there). We had Helga as our server most of the time and she was fantastic. However, when it was her day off the serving wasnt great. So I guess it depends who you get! The food was good. Excellent sometimes and averages other times. It depends what you select though as I always found other people liking some of the options that I didn't.. But for buffet and resort food it was all very good. The Kids' Club was amazing. I heard that the girls that are there this year are all new compared to last year, but the four of them (Miriam, Alessia, Giorgia, Jessica) were amazingly friendly and kept going day after day with lots of enthusiasm. The girls spoke mostly Italian with some german, french and little english but we found kids of all nationalities getting along easily without drama. We met a lot of people that were returning their for the 2nd, 3rd time etc and were well travelled for family holidays and kept saying that they found Baia Caddinas to be the best. We've become converted. In short: The location is perfect (15 mins from airport) with a clear view onto on of the islands and you are standing in a sheltered bay. The people working there made it a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere and service for a family orientated is really great. We would return.

  Fabulous in every way

  Just came back from a week in this hotel. Some many positives. Beautiful interiors, lovely pools and exceptional staff who were so helpful. Veronica was particularly nice and the staff in the bar and cafe on the beach. I can honestly say it one of the best places I have stayed in for a long time. we travelled with two small children and had a stress free time. We stayed a room with an outside area to play around and nice terrace for eating, The hotel is right on the beach although my children wanted to spend most of the time in the pools. There is a supermarket 10 minutes up the road which was fine although I wouldnt recommend walking up there in the height of the summer after 9am as very hot! There was also a community shuttle bus that passed the door and a little road train which also went by and went into the near by town Golfo Aranci which had plenty of gelaterias. The only down side was the fence between the internal beach and external beach area. i would have preferred to have been able to look out over to Isola Tavolara without the fence which was a bit unsightly and unnecessary. Wifi in the rooms would have been nice but it was fine around the pool and main reception. There was a man who organised car hire and excursions, I forget his name but he was so helpful and took us the the airport to pick up a car. Thank you.

  Great for families

  We went at the end of May with our 18months daughter and really enjoyed it. The warm pool was great. The resort is right at the beach with lounge chairs included in the room rate. The kitchen in the appartment is good enough to cook simple meals. The room size is not that big but not an issue as the idea is to be outside. There is a little nice terrace in each unit. They have plenty of activities for kids. Staff is nice. The wi-fi is only accessible from the lobby (and I assume from units closer to it than the one we were at) so keep it in mind if you need connection from your room. I'd recommend it.

  Lovely hotel woth great facilities

  We stayed here for 1 week in the self catering apartments. We are a family of five so self catering makes more sense and is the cheaper option at this hotel. The apartment was basic but clean and all we needed for a week when we are spending most of our time outdoors. The apartment was 1 min from the pool,beach and main hotel. The hotel had a great sunbed system which meant you had the same beds for your entire stay. The kids club was amazing. Our kids don't usually like the kids clubs butt our youngest really enjoyed it and were able to come and go whenever they wanted. There was lots for them to do and they also had dinner there a couple of times which they really enjoyed and was great value. We had a car which was very convenient and meant we were able to visit the local town and eat out easily. We did regular trips to the supermarket and day trips out to the waterpark and beaches. A great place for families and we would definitely go again.

  Amazing place for families with stunning beach

  We stayed at the residence which had a bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. There is everything you need to cook if necessary. Nice private garden in front of the room. Two TVs and a lot of space. Very quiet. We only had breakfast in room and went out for lunch and dinner. The hotel facilities are great, staff is nice, the receptionists Francesca and her colleague are super helpful and gave great tips. Mini club is a lot of fun, thank you Carlotta for the treasure hunt, baby dance, balloons ! The pools are warm and clean, beds around the pool are perfect, the private beach just in front is stunning. Lots of fish and crabs for the kids to see. The water is turquoise and the sand white, feels like being in Thailand. This place has everything, we will be back.
