Nice vacation resort south of AjaccioStayed at the Aigue Marine residence for a week with my wife, two friends and a dog. We enjoyed our stay very much; the place is very nice and you can have a great time simply by staying on the patio enjoying the view, or getting an even better view from the pool area. The pool is just big enough to be usable, but it's actually smaller than we thought. Beaches are not far away, though, a few minutes walk. There are a few things preventing Aigue Marine from being a "perfect place", though. No utilities supplied by the residence (no toilet paper, no dishwasher tabs, no coffee filters; I got a few supplies when I asked for it) which seems weird given the rather high price (almost 1,100 EUR for a week in September). There was a weird smell on the patio, probably the sewage system wasn't quite tight. Wasn't too strong, though. If you want to come with a dog, check the price in advance (we were supposed to pay 100 EUR extra for our large dog which we would not have accepted, but in the end Majid agreed with 25 EUR which seems OK. The parking could be better (it's aslope, you cannot park in the shade, and you need to be careful not to touch the dividers with the car), and the area around the residence is kind of run down; some deserted houses and rubbish left behind; that should be taken care of. No big issue, though, but it doesn't really fit to the residence's ambition. So overall, a very nice place, but in order to justify the price tag they should be a bit more proactive and more professional.

Nice View, but Very Basic and Slightly Worn OutWe stayed in a first floor studio for two nights. The view over the Golfe of Ajaccio is very nice, and breakfast on the patio is a great treat (dinner is more impacted by mosquitoes - which seem to be "reside" in the area). As it was low season, reception is not permanently occupied (we had to wait for almost 30 minutes upon arrival until someone turned up) - but the "guardian" is very friendly and helpful (you need to be able to communicate in French, though). Such helpfulness is needed, as the studios are devoid of any supplies (even no soap or toilet paper). There is no WiFi in the studios, only some patchy coverage in the reception area - where there is no seating space... Studios and residence are worn out and are in need of refurbishment - disappointing for a nightly rate of EUR 150,- in low season. You need a car to get to the next decent beach and supermarket. I wonder what kind of holiday you can spend at the residence: Far too expensive for budget holidays and too basic for up-scale... and you can get many other places in Corsica with good views of the sea !
