Renaissance and Elizabeth(front desk) ROCK!Reno was such a disappointment other than this Hotel! Once you walk through the doors to the hotel its like walking into an oasis. Elizabeth is a true asset to your company. She went way above and beyond to assist me on my stay in reno. She needs to be applauded for her guest services. This hotel stands out from all others and so does she. Clean safe and inviting. Thank you to the entire staff for a horrible trip made bearable. Thanks Elizabeth! Keep smiling and doing what you do! Just know you truly made a difference for me and I will never forget you or this hotel for that!

Awesome hotel in middle of crapThis hotel has so much to offer...too bad it wasnt in a different town. There is nothing in Reno and I never felt safe even in broad daylight. Too bad the game room wasnt open while we were there to give us something to do than to go out in town and feel like you might get stabbed or shot when you walk around a corner.

Stunning HotelThe hotel is stunning and the decor is top notch. Our room was very nice. Free parking is appreciated. The river below is nice. Be aware if you do a riverwalk, you may end it short due to the amount of homeless. From the hotel's restaurant (very good food by the way), you can enjoy it more as you have elevated views just over the river scene. Sanitizer plentiful in the hotel although could have used some inside the gym. Room for improvement- Tried dialing "at your service" a couple times (at different hours) and didn't get any answers. Also, was told the pool was closed for the season but near my check out time found out it wasn't (beautiful, 75 degrees out and would have loved to tried it). Recommend this hotel if you appreciate stunning, modern hotels but don't mind that you may need to visit the front desk or restaurant if you need a question answered or food ordered. Also to note for platinum & titanium status members, no daily breakfast voucher offered, only welcome points. I stayed at a Renaissance in Denver this month that offered daily $10 vouchers on top of the $10 welcome voucher. Due to the positives, I look forward to returning next week for another stay and hopefully can try the pool.

Odd stay at Renaissance RenoStayed at this hotel the 2nd time and ran into some odd inconsistent policies that left me scratching my head ....and confused about whether to stay here again The pros: Hotel looks clean and modern with some chic touches in lobby area The shore room restaurant has good food and service Good location Its walkable to bunch of restaurants and shopping and its an easy drive to mount rose ski tahoe Masks are being enforced and there are hand sanitizer stations The cons: First an annoying detail being lifetime titanium members there was really no upgrades we werent even on a preferred floor. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning to Marriott loyalists like us Secondly there was a slight smoke smell in room and beds. The big weird showstopper was they wont clean rooms and they did not mention that during check in .... we were here for 2 nights and we saw the housekeeping crew in the rooms next to us while we were heading out for skiing around 10 am. When we returned to the room after a day of skiing tired and looking for a clean room to return to ....it was not cleaned....we called the front desk and the woman that answered nonchalantly informed us with no apology that due to covid they are not cleaning rooms??? A fairly important detail they failed to inform us of prior to now....so I asked a little further since we have reservations for 5 nights in a few weeks if our room wasnt going to be cleaned during the next stay.... after she heard we are coming back for 5 nights she then informed me that she can make sure our room will be cleaned when we return and asked if we wanted a cleaning every day or every other day! Its quite confusing.... are they cleaning during covid or not cleaning during covid.. if they dont want to clean they should tell the guests that during reservations.... and if they are cleaning during covid then it should not be only if guests return for another stay ......

Not what was advertisedThis was a splurge for my husband's 50. We flew into Reno and had a condo lined up in Lake Tahoe, but figured it would be nice to spend the night in Reno. I booked through Expedia and upgraded ($) to the King Suite. Well long story short, we were supposed to have a beautiful suite with a tub, but got some weird suite that I would cringe if I took a black light to. See pictures. It was a complete disappointment.
