  La experiencia más lamentable de mi vida

  Situado a unos 3 km de Stansted, este "hotel" no llega a más que una casa de huéspedes de pesadilla. Después de gastar 12 libras en taxi del aeropuerto al antro, la puerta se abre sola y dentro no hay nadie. Tan solo un cartel indicando que llames a un número de teléfono. Después de contactar con la recepcionista a través de la compañía a través de la que realicé la reserva, me indican que busque por recepción la llave de la primera habitación, que esa es la mía. A las 12 de la noche difícil salir huyendo andando hacia el aeropuerto atravesando la campiña inglesa. Adjunto unas fotos para vuestro deleite, lamentablemente no puedo trasmitiros el desagradable olor que tuve que soportar esperando en recepción cerca de 2 horas a solucionar esta pesadilla

  Very pleasant stay

  If you have an early morning flight from Stansted airport I would recommend a stay at this guest house. Rooms are clean and a reasonable size especially if you get the front room. However be prepare that English is not the mother tongue of the owners but you are in a foreign country anyway, so who cares. If you want to eat and drink you have a choice of 2 pubs at either end of the village. I went out of the hotel and turned right to the "Lion and Lamb". A great old English village pub. The beers were reasonably priced, the lamb dinner was excellent and very tasty. As a discerning New Zealander I know my lamb and I can say "compliments to the chef". The people in the pub are just normal folk and it was a pleasant change from the rat-race of London that I had come from. I was even given a lift back to the guest house which saved me a miserable walk in the rain late a night. I would definitely go back to the "Lion and Lamb" for the good food and the local comradeship that this pub offers.

  Remarc Guest House

  This has to go down as the most disgusting place Ive ever stayed at... The room has a horrible smell, and is very dirty the mattress on the bed has big dips in it.. Overall the dingiest place ever. I would definitely not recommend this place even if it was the last one in the area!!!! Before I leave in the morning I will be telling them as well as leaving this review!!!!

  Give it a miss

  Stayed here overnight before an early flight and can honestly say I will never stay again. The smell you encounter when you walk in or the 70s brown shag pile carpet should have had us heading back to the car. Curtains did not fit the windows and half of the blinds were broken. Bathroom also needs a deep clean overall not a nice place to stay. Owner was not friendly and looked like wed just got him out of bed, it was 6.30pm. Never again Id rather pay the extra £20 or £30 to stay somewhere decent.

  Give it a miss!!

  Very poor all round. Dirty, smelly rooms. Finish of the room is below standard and the whole place needs a lot of TLC and a deep clean! Set up is awful, host is not much better. I would not stay again.
